A humble attempt to provide a platform for shias around the world to share their views and news

Hussaini Mahaz Agitation continued uninterruptedly for a period of eight months. Following their beloved leader Agha Moosavi, sons of Pakistani soil filled all its dungeons and jails by accepting detentions and imprisonment in every corner of the country. The detainees started performing Azadari-e-Imam Hussain (A.S) even in detention centres and jails of Pakistan (which is in practice even today). Majalis-e-Aza and Matam which had been a cause of constant fear for the dictator Zia ul Haq, had started shaking the walls of dungeons as well. Not only Shias but Ahle-sunnat and even people belonging to Christian community, also participated in the agitation and offered them selves for arrests and imprisonment just because they knew that this Hussaini movement was a movement for the protection of Islam, Pakistan and Humanity, that this was a movement to defend and guard Milaad un Nabi. Not a single shop nor anyone’s property was effected during this 8 months Agitation. This movement was certainly a unique movement of its kind.  Matamis and Azadars faced brutal aggression during this movement but, united under the leadership of their beloved and valiant Leader, they remained firm in their decision to protect Pakistan and Azadari -e- Imam Hussain (A.S). Different kinds of bribery including property, finances, and ministries and other influential government posts were offered but nothing could change the course of Agha Moosavi who refused to accept any deal over the fundamental rights of the nation. Finally, Hussaini Azadars were successful while the dictator Zia ul Haq had to take back the amendment to the Police Act. Processions of Azadari and Milaad un Nabi achieved constitutional protection because of the Moosavi Junejo Agreement of 21st May 1985 for which every Azadar is grateful to TNFJ.

Later, in order to make Pakistan a sectarian state and strengthen his rule, the dictator came up with a Sharia Bill. TNFJ rejected the bill by saying that in the presence of the constitution of 1973, there was absolutely no need for any other Sharia bill. The government tried its utmost to have the bill passed but the TNFJ under the command of Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, conducted a very effective campaign against the bill. Protesting telegrams were sent to those sitting in the corridors of power and the government offices and the evil designs of the dictator behind the so called Sharia Bill were exposed. The general public was informed about its consequences,  legal experts, human rights organizations, and religious and political parties were engaged resulting in voices raised against the bill from every corner of the country and the bill was abandoned.  Another attempt to revive this so called Sharia bill was made during the era of Nawaz Sharif. Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi while addressing to a gathering of thousands of Azadars in Islamabad said:

Sharia cannot be implemented by bills rather its true implementation is possible by the clean hearted people. Every attempt to undermine harmony and solidarity of the nation will be defeated.” The dictator and his partners failed again.
