It was only a few months since Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi took command of TNFJ, when the dictator General Zia ul Haq announced to limit Azadari programmes to pressurize Millat-e-Jafariya by an amendment in Police act (3) 30. General Zia claimed that all practices of worship must be performed within the boundaries of the buildings intended for such practices. Agha Moosavi in his response announced that Azadari is our jugular vein and is the soul of all worships while our beloved homeland Pakistan is like a mosque (a place of worship) therefore we will practice Azadari in each and every corner of this country. He also made it clear that no one would be allowed to stop processions of Grand father (Holy prophet Muhammad PBUH and his progeny) and Grandson (Imam Hussain A.S.) i.e. processions of Milad un Nabi (PBUH and his Progeny) and Azadari-e-Hussain (A.S). **** **** **** **** **** **** PHIR SHOR E SALASIL MAI SAROOR E AZALI HAI PHIR PESH E NAZAR SUNNAT E SAJJAD E WALI HAI
Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi was prepared to offer any kind of sacrifice to protect the dignity of Maktab -o- Millat. During the Ashura procession of October 1984, Agha Moosavi took part in a sit-in in the Fawara Chouk of Rawalpindi. Agha Moosavi spent shab-e-Ghariban (the night between 10th and 11th Muharram) facing Baton charge and tear gas alongside other Matamis and Azadars and as the dawn of Subh-e-Ghariban (Morning of 11th Muharram) appeared, Agha Moosavi, acting upon the footsteps of Imam Sajjad (A.S) left to convert Jails into Azakhana-e-Hussain (A.S) in police custody. This was the moment when Azan for the morning prayers was stated by the Hujjat ul Islam wal Muslameen Ayat ullah "Najam ul Hassan" Akhtar Hussain Haideri (who was a student of Agha Moosavi and later got martyred in Najaf Ashraf by the Baath party’s government of Iraq). Agha Moosavi volunteered his own and his children’s detention before anyone else and then by giving a countrywide call to offer arrests, laid the foundation of Hussaini Mahaz Agitation. (On one side Millat-e-Jafariya was offering all kinds of sacrifices to protect its jugular vein i.e. Azadari e Imam Hussain (A.S) while on the other side, corrupt and faithless elements termed Zia’s aggression against Azadari a normal thing, similar to the way Zia ul Haq had ignored the criticality of Indian aggression in Siachin by saying that “even the grass does not grow in Siachin”). Parasites of dictatorship and foreign funding did not only avoid supporting the struggle made for the protection of Azadari but also remained involved in plotting against the success of Hussaini Mahaz.
