Special Message of the Quaid e Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi in connection with the "Day of Supplications"

The pious personalities of the religion and Sharia keep dear the nearness of Almighty Allah and the only way one could achieve this proximity is to perform all good deeds and refrain from wrong doings and all his or her actions should be carried out as per the teachings of the religion and Sharia. Since the proximity to Almighty Allah is the base of human excellence which is impossible to achieve without means and intercession. Almighty Allah says that, “in order to reach to me seek intercession”; supplication is the biggest means to reach to Him and for the same reason Almighty Allah asked humans to offer supplications, “seek from me through supplications so that I may grant your wishes. Those who are too proud for not praying to me will soon be entered into the Hell fire disgracefully” (Sora e Momin).

There is a saying of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP) that is, “supplication is the spirit and essence of the worship” (Sahih Tirmizi). There is also a saying of Imam Jaffar Al Sadiq (PBUH), which goes, “never abandoned supplications since there isn’t anything better then supplications which can be a source of nearness to Almighty Allah so much so that ask Allah for even minors needs and do not stop offering supplications because of them being minor as He is the one who grants all the small things as well as the big ones” (Kafi); that is why supplication is the weapon of the faithful through which he or she fights back disappointment and despair. In order to solve problems, Prophets, Messengers, Infallible Imams and the pious companions were making supplications.

Imam Ali Al Raza (PBUH) said to his companions, “benefit from the weapon of the Prophets, they asked what was their weapon? Imam replied supplications” (Kafi). There is a saying of the Holy Prophet (PBUH & HHP), “May Allah shower His bounties on that person who seek to Almighty Allah for his needs and keep repeating his supplication weather his need is fulfilled or not”. Almighty Allah says that, “some times human seek wrong wishes instead of right one as he or she is rushing in their matters”, therefore think carefully that what are you asking Allah and for what purpose you are seeking your wish to be fulfilled.

One should bear in ones mind that supplications depend upon the depth of the knowledge of supplications; knowledge is the great steps of human life, there is a saying of the master of the universe Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (PBUH) that is, “ the beginning and foundation of the religion base upon the recognition of Almighty Allah”. A person lifts his hand when offering supplications but he or she is empty minded, first of all he has to recognize his or herself that is why it is said that a one who recognize his or herself recognizes Allah.

Imam Zain al Abideen (PBUH) considered supplication a source of propagation of the religion because his era after the tragedy of Karbala was full of hardships, in that time armed struggle was difficult since armed struggle couldn't be bigger then the one took place in Karbala where Imam Hussain (PBUH) sacrificed everything for the eternal life of the religion and Sharia as well as for the protection of the dignity of human values. The important responsibility of propagation of that unmatchable sacrifice fall onto the shoulder of Imam Zain al Abideen (PBUH) which he completed with great care through his eloquent sermons in the courts and Bazaars of Kufa O Shaam and unmasked the artificial face of Islam from the face of Yazidiet while bearing all kinds of hardships of captivity. Through the supplications of Imam Zain al Abideen (PBUH) the steps of the propagation of the religion reach to its pinnacle. Even today where the collection of his supplication, "Sahifa e Sajjadia" is a source of guidance, it is also a great practical lesson for the oppressed world to follow. It shows that where propagation of the religion is impossible through sermons supplications can be useful alternative; this way the oppression dies its natural death and one can also achieve his or her objectives too.

The biggest problem faced by humanity is recovery of the rights of the oppressed sections of society and repression caused to them therefore fulfilling the rights of Almighty Allah and humans should be made obligatory. Depriving others of their rights has become the second nature of the colonial powers, of which they are proud. The master of the universe Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (PBUH) identified an oppressor as one who oppresses with three different ways: by disobeying a superior, by suppressing the weak and by supporting oppressors. The head of the colonial power and its stooges are following the same criteria, who have no care of disobedience of Almighty Allah therefore suppressing the weak is their routine; by supporting dictators, oppressors and kings all over the world they gain their interests which has become their trademark.

There is the saying of Amir al Momnin Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (PBUH) that goes, “By God! If Haft-e-Aqleem is also given to me along with all that is under the sky if I snatch what is in the ant’s mouth, I will never do that”. (Nahjul Balagha)In this saying Mola e Kaeynat is talking about a single grain of barley but the tyrant rulers and international evils are skinning poor people alive. They are looting the rights of the oppressed and belongings of the poor as if it is their mother’s milk, but they have no fear of God.

Today corruption has become norm, deceiving is no longer a sin for them while Mola Ali says about himself that, “Ali (PBUH) has come to your city with three things: a horse, a dress and a sword and if he leaves your city with fourth one then believe that he has breached your trust”. Today, where are the Muslim rulers who have become the self-proclaimed leaders of Islam. What ever is happening in the beloved motherland Pakistan, and the types of cases being dealt by the judiciary, are the source of shame for the rulers and the politicians. Today the Muslim nation is in the target of the colonial power due to our own wrong policies therefore if we want that the Muslim countries become a hub of peace, Kashmir and Palestine should be freed, and that the colonial powers be thrown out of the Muslim countries so the problems of the public may be dealt with as a priority.

Wassalam
