Special Message of the Quaid e Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi in connection with the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (pbuh) which is being observed as Universal Ayyam Babul Hawaej from 23-25 Rajab ul Murajjab

Does the human being consider that he has been left without any guide that he may perform whatever he likes as per his desires (Surah Al-Qiyamat verse 36)

Allah sent his representatives in every era for the guidance, welfare and rectification of the human race so that they may tell the people about their profit and loss and guide them to lead a good life. The chain of Rasalat and Prophethood ended with the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) who was honoured with the certificate of completion of the religion:

“Al-Youm Akmalto Lakum Deenokum Wa Atmumto Alaikum Nemati Wa Razaitu Lakum Al-Islam Deenah”.

Therefore it is necessary that such pious personalities should be there in every era in order to save the religion and Sharia from all types of amendments and protect and safeguard it completely and also enjoy the absolute knowledge of the same. It is mentioned in the books of all schools of thought that one who dies without recognising Imam of his era, dies the death of an ignorant.

One of the great personalities from amongst the inheritors of the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) is Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (pbuh). The name of his father is Hazrat Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (pbuh) and that of mother Hazrat Hameedah Barbariya. His own name is Musa, Kuniyyat Abul Hassan, and renowned title Kazim and Babul Hawaij. 25th Rajab ul Murajab is the martyrdom anniversary of this brave, courageous and determined personality which is being commemorated as “Universal Ayyam Babul Hawaij” from Rajab-ul-Murajjab 23-25 with devotion and respect.

The days of Banu Umayyad were numbered when this seventh bright star of the Imamat came in this world. His Wiladat e Pur noor enlightened the heart of the world of knowledge and wisdom. He was born in Abwa, which is also the last resting place of the mother of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). He spent his time under the guidance of his father and the blessings of his mother and remained under the supervision of his father for 20 years. He used to watch how the multitude of Ulema and students from all over the world would visit Hazrat Imam Jafar e Sadiq (pbuh) and quench their thirst for knowledge; Imam Sadiq (pbuh) not only satisfied their needs but also showered them with the Uloom e Illahiya. Imam Musa Al Kazim (pbuh) prepared himself to fulfil his duties in the same manner.

The personality of any person could rightly be judged through his thinking, ideas, wisdom and intelligence. Therefore a saying of an intelligent person is that the human being is commensurate with thoughts and opinions and not with his appearance and body-parts.

The life span of Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (pbuh) was replete with all types of oppression and brutalities that he confronted with courage and bravery. His life-style unveiled the oppression, brutality, lie and evil of the tyrant rulers of his era. He remained firm against whatever difficulties and hardships were imposed on him. His personality as a true leader is asset of life for truth seekers and world of justice. After the martyrdom of his father, he took over the supervision of the University of Hazrat Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (pbuh) in Madina Munawwara and kept himself busy in protecting and propagating the thoughts of Sadiq Aal e Muhammad (pbuh). Thousands of Ulema and narrators of traditions went through training in this hub of knowledge and enlightenment. Imam quenched their thirst for knowledge and wisdom and enriched school of thought of Ahle Bait Athaar (pbuh) with new angles of thinking that is a beacon of light for the world of Ijtehaad.

Imam Musa Al Kazim (pbuh), likewise his forefathers, kept the candle of guidance lit with utmost responsibility and never held back from demanding justice from the oppressors on behalf of the oppressed and the have-nots. His life is replete with supporting the oppressed and have-nots and seeking justice and protection for them; he laid down his life for these pious objectives and demands.

The gait and utterances of the Imam (pbuh) were like that of his forefathers. By his actions he informed the tyrant rulers and dictators of his era that bodies could be put behind bars but hearts could not be restricted and, like his forefathers, rejected every policy of oppression and brutality, choosing to confront rather than bow down before them. Musa Bin Jafar (pbuh) remained on the righteous path of protecting the sanctity of Monotheism, Prophethood and Wilayat. He preferred to bear the brunt of gaol and ultimately rendered his life but did not bargain on the principles of the religion and Sharia. Captive of Baghdad Imam Musa Kazim (pbuh) displayed firmness throughout his whole life. His revolutionary steps enlightened the names of the inheritor of the Holy Prophet and the lineage of Ali O Batool (pbut).

Centuries have passed since the struggle of Imam Musa Al Kazim against the tyrants of his era but those who are desirous of independence, freedom and justice, while following his footsteps, express their hatred against the oppressors and do not consider them humans who use new tactics every day against the mankind. The colonial powers and their agents could not even think that those who lay down their lives in the way of Allah never hesitate to offer any kind of sacrifice in achieving their religious goals.

Even today, the world of humanity, the scholars of religion and Sharia in particular, are confronted with one form of oppression or the other; lives of the people of Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq and Afghanistan are being made difficult, war has been imposed on some Muslim States, while Pakistan in particular is being confronted with incidents of murder, arson, suicide attacks, bomb blasts, target killings and drone attacks. Through this oppression and brutality, the chief of the colonial powers feels that he can bow us down but he should know that like Imam Musa Bin Jafar (pbuh) could not be deterred from speaking truth by the tyrant rulers and dictators of his era, similarly the followers of Imam Musa Kazim (pbuh) and the Farzandan e Tauheed and Risalat could not be diverted from the right path or bowed down because Allah Has promised that Islam will reign supreme and atheism has to come down.

Hazrat Imam Musa Bin Jafar (pbuh) rid the humanity of humiliation. While following his footsteps, we also condemn all types of oppression and brutality and support the oppressed wherever they are. On the occasion of Ayyam Babul Hawaij, whilst presenting condolences to the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) and the supporters of the religion and Sharia, announced the commitment to continue struggle for getting rid of the oppressors and support of the oppressed till the reappearance of Hazrat Hojjat Ajjil Allah Farajah (pbuh).
