especial Message of Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi on the occasion of “AALMI ASHRA-E-BEEMAR-E-KARBALA

Almighty Allah proclaims, there is no doubt that we sent Musa (A.S) with life, so that he lead his people from the darkness to the light and remind them the days of Allah (Sura Ibrahim). This means that one of the foremost responsibilities of the Prophets is to remind their nations about the days during which Almighty Allah did not only bless different nations and communities with extraordinary rewards but also helped them in getting rid of their enemies. The above stated verse reflects that Hazrat Musa must remind Bani Israil about all the blessings including the Man o Salwa,  that were showered upon them by Almighty Allah and that the Almighty created a bay in the middle of the river Nile to protect them from Pharaoh. Similarly, Almighty Allha protected the nations of Hazra Nooh and Hazrat Ibrahim through these Prophets, while the incidents of their respective eras were proved to be significant lessons for the next generations so that they could learn ways to protect themselves from Pharaohs, Namroods and Yazids of their periods. That is why the greatest sacrifice of Imam Hussain (A.S), influenced rest of the stories of humanity therefore, reminding about Karbala is in fact reminding about the days of Allah.

And the tale of Imam-e-Aali Maqaam’s martyrdom in Karabala remains incomplete without Hazrat Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) who played such a role after the occurrence of the tragedy of Karbala, that it became a comprehensive guide for the oppressed humanity.

The name of Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) is Ali bin Hussain bin Ali bin Abi Talib (A.S), while his kunya is Abu Muhammad and famous Alqaab are Zain ul Abideen, Sayyed us Sajideen, and Sajjad. Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) was born on 15th Jamadi ul Awal (or 5th Shabaan by some historians) 38 A.H. in Madina Munawara. Mother of Imam (A.S) is Hazrat Sheher Bano, one of the greatest women of the history who was the daughter of the Last Sasani king Yazdgard II. Devoutness and piousness of Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) was touching its crest due to which the holy Imam was known with the Alqaab of Zain ul Abideen and Sayed us Sajideen. He is the sixth masoom (infallible) and fourth amongst twelve holy Imams. He faced six dictators in hix era but none of those could divert the holy Imam from the righteous path. Imam kissed the martyrdom on 25th Muharram 95 A.H. He was buried in the cemetery of Jannat ul Baqee alongside his holy grandmother Khatoon e Jannat Sayyeda Fatima Zahra (S.A) and uncle Hazrat Imam Hassan (A.S). In connection with the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S), 15th to 25th Muharram ul Haram is being commemorated as Aalami Ashra-e-beemar-e-Karbala.

Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) was the heir of Shaheedan-e-Karbala therefore, it was necessary for Imam to protect the great asset of the sacred khanwada (families) who were the victim of the tragedy of Karbala, and prevent the sacred blood of the martyrs of Karbala from getting in vain. This was an extremely sensitive and important responsibility of Hazrat Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S). The holy Imam (A.S) kept the real purpose of Karbala alive by demonstrating an unshakable resolve and patience against all kinds of brutalities. The extraordinary strength of Imam’s character exposed the real face of Yazidiyat that Yazid was hiding using a fake cover of Islam. Alongside his respectful aunt, Aqeela-e-Banu Hashim, Sayyeda Zainab bint-e-Ali (A.S), Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) delivered heart rendering sermons in bazaars and courts of Ibn-e-Ziaad and Yazeed in the cities of Koofa and Shaam which, shook the whole foundation of Yazeed’s kingdom while defamed the Yazidiyat for ever.  Through continued prayers and dua, Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) preached the message of Touheed o Risaalat in such an effective manner that the collection of his prayers i.e. Saheefa-e-Kamila / Saheefa-e-Sajjadia, was termed as Zaboor-e-Aal-e-Muhammad by renowned scholars. Imam-e-Sajjad wanted everyone to realize that a permanent revolution can never take place without spiritual, educational and ethical support. People, unaware of spirituality and knowledge get obliterated by the harshness of the history.

Saheefa-e-Kamla (collection of the prayers of Syed us Sajjad  Imam Zain ul Abideen A.S), is a complete way of life for the oppressed and deprived humanity. Through 50 postulates included in his prayers, Syed us Sajideen (A.S) has presented a comprehensive and historic charter for the protection of human rights which, if acted upon, guarantees the freedom of the whole world from conflicts and confrontation and ensures to make this world a hub of peace and tranquility. On the other side, after the World War II, similar task of defining the charter of human rights was performed by the United Nations and with the assistance of more than five dozen countries, a 30 postulates charter for the protection of human rights was produced however, it could not be implemented till date. Had the charter of UNO been effective, the problems of Kashmir and Palestine would have been resolved; intrusion in Afghanistan and Iraq would not have been possible while no one would have dared to launch drone attacks against our beloved motherland.

Hishaam bin Abdul Malik, was the tenth ruler of Bannu Ummaya and seventh king of Marwaan’s dynasty. He remained imposed on Islamic society for a period of twenty years. Once upon a time he went to Makka to perform Hajj. The number of people on pilgrimage during that year was extraordinarily high and therefore, due to the overcrowded haram-e-Aqdas, performing the Manasik-e-Hajj had become difficult. Despite reaching near the Hajr-e-Aswad, he remained unable to kiss the sacred stone. During the same time, Hazrat Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) with his bright face and respectable manner, entered the Haram e Aqdas and started performing Tawaaf. As soon as the holy Imam reached to the Hajr-e-Aswad, people cleared the way of Imam (A.S) and moved aside due to Imam’s spiritual and esteemed personality, so that Imam (A.S) could kiss the Hajr-e-Aswad conveniently. Seeing this, Hisham became so much annoyed and jealous. Someone asked Hisham that who is this man for whom people are showing so much respect and reverence? Hisham, despite knowing the holy Imam (A.S), lied and showed his unawareness. On this occasion, Firzouq, the well renowned poet of Arab stepped forward and said you do not know him but I do, and I tell you about Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S), then he presented a Qaseeda (poetry in respect of Imam), to introduce Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S). O Hisham! If you do not know him, then listen, he is the one who has been praised in the holy Quran. He is the one whose brave and bold actions cause shivering in the hearts of Lions. He is the one whose generosity is matchless. He is the one whose footsteps are recognized by the city of Makka while the Khana Kaaba acknowledges him. The whole world knows him, all that is created is aware of him and even the Harem is familiar with him. Members of his family are the pride of the whole universe. He is from the people who enlightened us by explaining the deen through their knowledge and comprehension. He is the one from whose door, no beggar returns unattended. He is the one who is blessed with countless qualities and distinguishing attributes. Alimighty has created him as fresh and bright as blooming flowers. He is the son of Sayyeda Fatima (S.A), if you do not know him then listen, he is the son of the last Prophet (Peace be upon him and progeny)….Listening to Firzouq’s poetry, Hisham had the poet arrested in Asfaan, a city situated in the middle of Makka and Medina.

Sayings of Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S), are a beacon of light for those who are in search of the truth. On one place, Imam (A.S) advised, “Avoid all types of lies, may it be small or big, serious or just a joke, because one who speaks small lies may also dare to speak a bigger one”.

Another saying goes … “Begging from others to fulfill your requirements causes a disgraced, disrespectful and embarrassing life and this is actually Faqr-e-Hazir”.

Today, the Islamic Ummah is dependant on colonial powers despite having all kinds of resources. In order to beg, Pakistani leaders are also wondering from one country to another. If these leaders really want to get rid of the dependencies, they will have to act upon the sayings of Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S), and connect themselves with Almighty Allah because

“Whoever depends on Almighty Allah, Allah will take care of him in a sufficient manner”

Once, the holy Grandfather of Imam Ali bin Hussain (A.S) was asked, if a person is imprisoned in a room while all the possible entrances, doors and windows are sealed, then where exactly his Rizq (Food) will come from? The holy Imam (A.S) replied, the same entrance from where his death will reach him.

If we want to make our homeland peaceful and want protection from terrorism, then we must disconnect ourselves from colonial powers, and will have to bow before the Almighty Allah. Today, the whole Islamic Ummah and Pakistan are faced with the conspiracies of Kufr (Non Believers). On one hand these powers have spread terrorism in Islamic countries examples of which can be seen in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq, while on the other hand they are using their media to portray Islam and its followers as terrorists. In order to remain safe from traps set by the world of Kufr, this dua (prayer) of Imam Zain ul Abideen (A.S) is a source of encouragement for Muslim Ummah and best defense against plots of the enemies of Islam.

There have been so many enemies who brought out their swords against me and sharpened their knives and increased their brutalities and poisoned my water, and kept chasing me without missing a single moment. They remained prepared to create unfavorable conditions for me and tested my patience to the maximum possible extant however, O my lord, when you saw me weakening, and observed that I am not able to defend myself, and I am alone, while the number of people plotting against me is very high, you helped me without waiting for my prayers and requests, you granted me strength while weakened my enemy and despite gathering a huge army, my enemy became alone and you raised my status much higher as compared to the status of my opponents. He had made me a target however, you turned his arrows backward. He became mad due to the repeated failures and retreated in dismay while his own companions revolted against him. My enemies deceived me and set traps against me. They chased me like a beast running after its prey. They carried rancor against me and watched me with malevolent eyes. But O my great lord, when you saw their dirty designs against me then you threw them in the same ditch that they had digged for me. After demonstrating their arrogance and hatred they got ceased in the same mud of humiliation in which they wanted to see me. It was your blessings that guided me through. My enemies kept teasing me with their words, kept blaming me for their own bad practices, kept igniting me with their shrewdness and cleverness. Kept blaming me for their own deficiencies. But whenever I called you in my humble prayers, but with a confidence that you would listen to my prayers, with a faith that anyone, whom you protect, cannot be hurt by any enemy. Whoever gets the shelter of your protection never gets worried and similarly you protected me from the attacks of my adversaries.

The new world order prepared by the colonial powers in coordination with their allies, and the agenda of declaring Muslims as terrorists throughout the world, has failed by itself. The time is coming when Islam which is the religion of peace and harmony, would spread throughout the universe.

Islam Zinda hogaya buss karbala kay baad
