Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi laid to rest on Monday here amid sighs and sobs at the central Imam Bargah G -9/ 4

ISLAMABAD, July 26: Patron Supreme Shia Ulema Board Quaid-e-Milat Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi laid to rest on Monday here amid sighs and sobs at the central Imam Bargah G -9/ 4. Moving scenes were witnessed during the burial. Agha Moosavi passed away last night at the Headquarters of Maktab e Tasheyyo Ali Masjid after a brief illness. The funeral prayer was led by Mufti Bassam Abbas Zaheri. People from all walks of life, including religious figures and politicians attended his funeral. On this occasion, Agha Syed Muhammad Murtaza Mousavi Advocate, son of Agha Moosavi and Agha Syed Ali Ruh al-Abbas Moosavi Advocate pledged to remain steadfast in their father's mission and to spend their energies for promotion of his message of unity and brotherhood in public.

They thanked thousands of funeral participants and leaders of various schools of thought and mourners. In his condolence address, TNFJ Information Secretary Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi paid rich tributes to late Agha Moosavi and said that he never allowed any attack on the principles of Vilayat Ali (AS), mourning on Imam Hussain (AS), honour of Sadaat and Marjaiyat.

“Every TNFJ worker and everyone in the nation believing his principles on the basis of patriotism will continue to work with trust and integrity. Allama Qamar Zaidi announced that the ritual soyem of Agha Moosavi will be performed at Jamia al-Murtaza G-9/4 on Wednesday, July 27. On this occasion, the Holy Quran will be recited at 10 am and dua will be held at 11am.

Other Speakers said that Agha Mousavi was seen with equal respect in the all schools of Islamic thought and he was a strong voice against terrorism, presented a historic peace formula in the Supreme Court against terrorism and in the light of which the National Action Plan was prepared.

He was a champion of Sunni-Shia unity, who thwarted every conspiracy against the Sunni-Shia brotherhood in Pakistan with his message of brotherhood and unity. Agha Hamid Moosavi always opposed foreign aid to religious parties and called politics a poison for the country in the name of religion.

Agha Moosavi led Milat Jafaria for 38 years and thwarted the martial law government's ban on azadari and mourning processions through the Hussaini Front agitation against Zia-ul-Haq for eight months.
