ISLAMABAD, January 22: The Patron-in-Chief of the Supreme Shia Ulema Board Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that vested interests of politicians are the biggest obstacle in eradicating terrorism. All elections in the country including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan stand witness that all political parties belonging to the rulers and the opposition have links with the proscribed organizations. The lust for power is swallowing the sacrifices of the army and the people. No doubt, India is behind terrorism from Anarkali Lahore to Balochistan but its facilitators are present from Karachi to Khyber. The silence of rulers and opposition on the Shahadat of three sons of a mother in Dera Ismail Khan provides food for thought. Why none of the powers that be raised voice on this open act of terrorism? How can peace be restored in a situation where innocent people are being put in the Schedule IV and memberships of Islamic Ideology Council Ulema Board are being distributed among the proscribed parties. The National Security Policy should not only be a lip-service but should be implemented in letter and spirit. Suspension of officers on tragedies is a drama and is tantamount to throwing dust in the eyes of the people. Ayyam Azmat-e-Niswan will be observed from 18 to 20 Jamadius Sani marking the Wiladat-e-Purnoor of Shahzadi-e-Konain Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.). These views were observed by him while addressing the Central Cabinet meeting of the TNFJ. Agha Moosavi said four decades ago, Pakistan received a gift of American friendship in the shape of terrorism while religious parties were used to turn Pakistan into a battlefield of proxy wars. He said the foreign money continued to promote hatred and terrorism and politicians continued to use terrorist groups as pressure groups as a result of which these groups have become so powerful and influential that despite dozens of operations using full state power, these terrorist groups have not been wiped out. The TNFJ chief said that restrictions were imposed on extremist group, sacrifices-laden operations were carried out, Anti-Terrorist Acts were prepared and the National Action Plan had been prepared but all these efforts and sacrifices are being wasted because the political parties are in collusion with terrorist parties who are providing services to the political parties and in return the political parties protect them. Agha Moosavi said that a common man put in Schedule IV cannot go out of the police station concerned that the question arises that how the senior leaders of the proscribed parties reach the important government institutions. He said Press conferences are held with the leaders of the banned parties, the bills prepared by them are get approved with heavy support; how is it possible to eradicate extremism in such a situation? The TNFJ chief said that our eternal enemy India is after us since the establishment of Pakistan and anti-state conspiracies could not be defeated because the government and opposition are always engaged in subjugating each other. The murderers of the people are not ashamed to beg even from the terrorists. The ruling party always remains ready to use every tactic to save its power and the opposition always tries all out efforts to snatch power, he added. The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi said that no effort can succeed to restore durable peace in the country unless the terrorists and national criminals are subjected to horrific punishments in public. |
