Without resolving the issues of Kashmir and Palestine, Middle East and South Asia will remain engulfed in the flames of war - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, January 6: The Patron in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulama aboard Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that implementation of UN resolutions is mandatory to offer the right of self-determination to Kashmiris and Palestinians as otherwise, the regions of Middle East and South Asia will remain engulfed in the flames of war. Not having a word about Kashmir issue in the OIC meeting is tragic, food for thought and a big question mark. 5th of January i.e. the day of self-determination for Kashmiris; demands justice from the so-called champions of human rights. Disputes of Kashmir and Palestine must be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiris and Palestinians. Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A) preached the eternal lesson of supporting the oppressed. The sacred character of the holy Prophet’s daughter (PBUT) is a beacon of light for the women folk. Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A), the lady of Heavens, is a complete role model of piousness and Taqwa who condemned the oppressors and gave practical lesson of supporting the oppressed. He said this while addressing to TNFJ’s international Alami Ayyam e Aza e Fatimiya Committee.

Agha Moosavi noted that Nehru himself took the Kashmir dispute to United Nations while UN Security Council passed resolution in favor of the right of self determination for Kashmiris in 1949. A similar resolution was also passed in 1948 however, despite passing seventy-five years, Kashmiris are still deprived of their rights. He stressed upon the United Nations to get the long pending disputes of Kashmir and Palestine resolved in accordance with its Charter as to reduce threats to international peace, stop aggression, resolve international conflicts according to justice and international laws, is part of UN’s constitution. The unresolved disputes of Kashmir in South Asia and Palestine in the Middle East have caused a lot of chaos and bloodshed in the two regions. Israel has waged wars against Palestine while India imposed four wars on Pakistan. He said that the government of Pakistan must expose Indian aggression on international forums and let the world know that the only solution to the problems of Kashmir and Palestine is to give them the right of self-determination as otherwise, international colonial powers will keep using these areas for their vested interests.
