The life of Ameer ul Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (AS) is the best example of worship while also a strong shield for the oppressed against tyranny and brutality of the oppressors - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, March 9: The Patron in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulama Board and Head of Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that the life of Ameer ul Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibn e Abi Talib (A.S) is the best example of worship while also a strong shield for the oppressed against the tyranny and brutality of the oppressors. If the Muslim Ummah is able to relive the Haidery spirit, Muslims will be able to get rid of their problems and achieve heights of excellence in Science and Technology to thwart conspiracies of colonial powers. The oath to support the oppressed and confront the oppressors must be revived during the Mahafil e Meelad, conferences, seminars and celebratory programs of Alami Jashan e Murtazavi. He said this in his special message issued on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Wasi e Rasool, leader of Wilayat, Maula e Kainaat, Baab e Madina tul ilm, conqueror of the battles of Badar, Hunain, Khandaq and Khyber, the bearer of the heavenly sword Zulfiqar, Moulood e Kaaba Hazrat Ali Ibn e Abi Talib (A.S) that is being celebrated as Alami Jashan e Murtazavi on Monday 13th Rajab al Murajjab.

Agha Moosavi noted that all historians and scholars agree that instead of the sword, Islam spread through the pious characters of Auliya e Karam while the source of Auliya’s character after the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) is none other than the king of Wilayat Hazrat Ali Karram Allah Wajho who was decorated with the crown of Wilayat by the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) himself at the land of Ghadeer e Khum where in his sermon the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) said that "For whoever I am his Leader (Maula), 'Ali is his Leader (Maula)." (Al-Mustadrak, Tirmizi, Fazaail al Sahaba Ahmed bin Hanbal, Tibrani). According to Ibn e Asaakir, Hazrat Umar ibn e Khatab right after listening to the holy Prophet’s sermon, stated O Ali the son of Abu Talib (A.S)!, you have become the leader (Maula) of all male and female believers (Fatah al Qadeer). This is why Shah Shams Tabrez had said that “Shah e Wilayatam Ali (A.S), Jaam e Shahdatam Ali (A.S), Ain e Hidayatam Ali (A.S), Raahnuma e Anbia (A.S)”.

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that Auliya Allah take pride in calling themselves as the slaves of Ali (A.S) and Sag e Kuay Yazdan Ali (A.S). Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehelvi writes that “It is Hazrat Ali ibn e Abi Talib (A.S) who opened the door of Wialayh for the Ummah. Amongst the Auliya, there exists not even a single Wali who is unrelated with Hazrat Ali’s sacred family of Imamah (Al-Tafheemaat al ilaahiya). Hazrat Mujaddad alf Thani said that “the leader and the headspring for the travellers of the path of Wilayat is Hazrat Ali ibn e Abi Talib (A.S) who enjoyed the same highest status even after his apparent birth as during his life in the world” (Maktoobat e Mujaddad alf Thani). It is impossible to cover the superiority and paragon of Hazrat Ali Ibn e Abi Talib (A.S) which is why Allama Ibn e Hajar Makki said that the qualities of Ali (A.S) are unimaginable. He said on another occasion that more than three hundred verses of holy Quran descended in praise of Ali Ibn e Abi Talib (A.S). Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal said that Ali (A.S) the amount of qualities and praise that exist for Ali (A.S), cannot be found for anyone else. Agha Moosavi said that Hazrat Ali Karram Allah Wajho, the conqueror of the battles of Badar, Hunain, Khandaq, and Khyber, was born inside the Baitullah (Kaaba) on 13^th of Rajab 30 Aam ul Feel and did not open his eyes unless the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) arrived and carried him in his arms. The holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) made him lick his tongue (Seerat e Halbiya). Sultan al Hind Hazrat Khwaja Moeen ud Din Chishti Ajmeri wrote a Qaseeda on the birth of Maula Ali (A.S).

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi reminded that Hazrat Ali’s father who was also the uncle as well as protector of the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) was Hazrat Abu Talib ibn e Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim, while Hazrat Ali’s mother was Hazrat Fatima bint-e-Asad bin Hashim. Therefore, Hazrat Ali (A.S) was born in the Najeeb ul Tarfain (Pure from both sides) Hashmi family which had already reached the heights of distinction by bringing up the holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad ibn-e-Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib (PBUT). Famous historian and scholar of Ahl-e-Sunnah Allama Ibn e Sabaagh Malik writes that “No one was born in Khana Kaaba before Hazrat Ali (A.S), a distinction that Almighty Allah dedicated for Hazrat Ali (A.S) only to highlight his great status to the people and reveal his respectable position to them. (Fasool al Muhma). Mustadark Hakim says that before or after Ali (A.S), no one else was or will ever be born in Kaaba. Agha Moosavi said that as also mentioned in Seerat e Halbiya, Hazrat Ali (A.S) was the very first of Ummah who has the honor to pray with the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP). After the creation of first Islamic state, Maula Ali (A.S) also led in protecting the state as he defeated the leaders of unbelievers in Badar, shielded the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) in the battle of Ohod, killed Omar ibn e Abd e Wad the famous fighter of unbelievers in the battle of Khandaq, conquered the unconquerable fort of Khyber after killing Marhab the famous fighter of Jews, it was Ali (A.S) who on the occasion of Fatah e Mecca, stood upon the shoulders of the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) to clear Khana Kaaba from the idols and received the title of But-Shikan i.e. the idol-breaker. Hazrat Ali (A.S) was so generous that he gave all the barley bread earned through the whole-night laboring in a garden to a beggar right at the time of iftar and kept doing the same for consecutive three days while the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP), Ali (A.S), Fatima (S.A), Hassan (A.S) and Hussain (A.S) chose to remain hungry upon which the holy Quran’s Surah e Hal-Ataa revealed (Riaz al Nazrah).

Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that in present times, the Muslim society has lost its faith and objective along with the spirit of righteousness therefore, Muslims desperately need to decorate themselves with the revolutionary thinking to confront colonial powers and require justice and unity in their society for which they must follow the sacred character of Ali al Murtaza (A.S) as not only scholars but the Auliya e Karam also declared the love of Ali (A.S) as the path leading to the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) and Almighty Allah.
