During the month of Ramadan, all obligations of of worship and prayers must be fulfilled while following the recommended precautionary measures to get rid of the deadly Corona virus as the doors of blessings and forgiveness remain open in Ramadan - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, April 25: The Patron in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulama Board Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that during the month of Ramadan, all obligations of of worship and prayers must be fulfilled while following the recommended precautionary measures to get rid of the deadly Corona virus as the doors of blessings and forgiveness remain open in Ramadan. He said this while addressing to the dignitaries of Bangash area.

Agha Moosavi noted that the month of Ramadan has arrived in a situation when Pakistan along with the rest of the world is faced with threats and pandemics because of which every rich or poor is entangled in multiple issues and bearing economic and social harm. Government and different organizations are engaged in helping the deserving and deprived people. Setting aside the fear and threats, TNFJ’s sub organizations like Mukhtar Force volunteers and Ibrahim Scouts are also serving the humanity which is worth appreciating. He stressed on the government that it must fully cooperate with the volunteers engaged in social services so that the countrymen could be saved from the pandemic.

Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that “Roza” i.e. fasting is one of the fundamental branches of Islam. He said that the linguistic meanings of Roza include avoiding something, staying quiet or to abandon something. While fasting, a man stays protected against fulfilling personal desires and committing evil deeds. Roza has been declared as obligatory for all mindful and adult men and women. A man stops himself from the worldly desires right from dawn to dusk when fasting.

Agha Moosavi said that Rozay were declared obligatory for a period of one month after two years of Hijrat e Nabwi. It is said that the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) fasted for a month after the revelation of the holy Quran and Roza is a memory of the same. He said that Roza has s if a limited time frame as if the obligation extended beyond a month, the physical effort of those fasting would have gone in vain and his body’s activeness would have diminished. He further stressed that the objective of Roza is to follow the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) as the holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) kept himself away from all kinds of personal desires, and the same is important for his followers also. He said that the biggest objective of Roza mentioned in the holy Quran is to create Taqwa among the faithful people and they remain protected against the sins. A hadees e Nabwi states that a Rozadar must demonstrate control over his personal desires. The holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) declared the month of Ramadan as the month of Mawasaat i.e. the month to express sympathy and share griefs. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi further noted that Roza (fasting) is obligatory on every Muslim to create realization about the hunger and starvation faced by those poor and have-nots.
