No hurdle  will be accepted in Azadari, the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi announced the 17 -points code of Azadari

ISLAMABAD, September 11: The chief of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has announced a 17-point Code of Azadari in connection with the oncoming month of Muharramul Haram, at a crowded Press conference, Monday. He said Azadari is included in the basic rights as per Quran and Pakistan’s Constitution and we will not accept any hurdle in it. He said Azadari Imam Hussain (A.S.) is the eternal protest of the oppressed against oppression and our jugular vein. He demanded that the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement should be implemented in letter and spirit to organized Majalis-e-Aza and bring out the Azadari procession while the government should establish Muharram Control Rooms at the level of Federal Interior Ministry and at provincial level and these should also be advertised in media. These Muharram Control Rooms should be directed to keep in touch with the Muharram Committee Azadari Cell of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya so as to resolve the potential problems faced by Azadaran. He said Shahadat-e-Hussain (A.S.) is the eternal lesson and is the beacon of light for the citizens of the whole Islamic World and the motherland Pakistan.

Answering questions from newsmen on this occasion, Agha Moosavi said that the new government has not yet responded to our suggestions viz. Muharramul Haram. We are testing the government, the government belongs to the whole country and it should take its decision by remaining above from their allies and the party. He demanded that our suggestion for Ziareen including the train service should be implemented. He said Iran has always supported us in the hour of trial, the ice has started melting. He said inclusion of blue-eyed persons and people belonging to the banned groups in the Mutahidda Ulema Board, Peace Committees and the Ideological Council provides food for thought. Such persons, he added, can be representatives of the government but not that of Masalak and Makatab. He accused the OIC for display criminal ignorance on the issue of blasphemous caricature and questions the presence of 39-State alliance that uttered no word on this issue.

The TNFJ chief said that there is no threat to the Harmain Sharifain but the rulers. Keeping America and China on one platter is not good. Afghanistan has become mini-India. He said we should improve relations but you cannot clap with one hand. He said no Azadari procession could be stopped in the presence of 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement and not undertakings are acceptable on Azadari; did the participants of the sit-in had given any undertaking, he asked. The Prime Minister had said that we will get rid of America, therefore the rulers should tell the truth on foreign policy. He said government use banned groups as pressure groups. We have neither been used by anyone nor will be used for anyone in future. He said if the minorities recognized the Pakistan’s Constitution and Pakistan then giving them their rights is obligatory. He made it clear that no solution other than the United Nations Resolutions is acceptable for Kashmir issue.

The 17-point Code of Azadari issue by the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya is as under: The powers that be may honour the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi Agreement in holding Majalis-e-Aza and bringing out all Azadari processions; The government may set up Muharram Azadari Cells at the level of Federal Interior Ministry and provinces and publicise the same at media so that the potential problems of Azadaran could be resolved and these Muharram Cells should remain attached with and coordinate with the Muharram Committee Azadari Cell of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya; The administration at local and high level should be directed to fully cooperate with Azadaran and organisers of Majalis and Azadari processions so that Azadari rites are performed with honour and dignity; No such order may be enforced that may encroach upon the rights of anyone, the administration should avoid spreading fear and harassment because Azadari is the peaceful protest of the oppressed against oppression and brutality; it is our basic right as enshrined in the Pakistan’s Constitution; Every provision of the National Action Plan may be implemented to ensure country’s law and order and its sustainability, banned groups may be prevented from operating and rulers and politicians should avoid making them their political allies. Anti-Terrorist Act should be implemented strictly and no one should be allowed to take the law into his hands; It is a matter of concern that innocent, peace-loving and honourable persons having no connection with banned groups have been placed in the Fourth Schedule and this practice is still going on. Therefore, this excessive attitude should be given up; Security steps for Majalis and mourning processions should be taken well in advance at sensitive places and lighting and cleanliness arrangements should be made on their routes. Power and gas load-shedding may not be exercised during the Ashra-e-Muharram. The organisers of Majalis and processions should also make arrangements for security, lighting and cleanliness themselves; God forbid, if any untoward incident takes place then it may be resolved through the local administration and the local Muharram Committee of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafaria. Otherwise the Control Room of the Markazi Muharram Committee may be approached; The organisers of Majalis and all mourning processions and all countrymen may keep a strict eye on the internal and external enemies and remain alert so as to tackle the ill-desirous elements; The government and media should avoid a contact with banned terrorists and their facilitators and discourage them; All schools of thought may preach their beliefs and ideologies in a positive manner and adopt the policy of not leaving their own beliefs and not hurting anyone other’s beliefs; Ulema Karaam, Waizeen and Zakireen may preach unity, brotherhood and the message of Hussainiyyat and choose the topics of survival of religion and motherland and security in their addresses; Political parties may keep political activities suspended during the Ashra-e-Muharram and give priority to remembering the Nawasa-e-Rasool (A.S.); Electronic and print media may highlight the sacrifices of the Shuhada-e-Karbala in a positive manner, and avoid promoting indecent programmes. Musical, dramas and melodious programmes should be suspended during the Ashra-e-Muharram; Discipline and timings may be kept intact during all Majalis-e-Aza and Azadari processions and any activity that may be contrary to the essence of Azadari may be avoided; Women should follow the seerat and character of Mukhaderat-e-Ismat and Taharat while men may follow the seerat and character of pious Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.), and honour and dignity of all Makatab should be respected by all means; The organisers of Majalis may follow the Code of Azadari themselves and also make it binding on others. The powers that be may ensure implementation of Code of Azadari from Deh to highest level.

Agha Moosavi said that Islam is a complete code of life that not only highlights every field of human life but also considers Shahadat as mirage of success for protection of religious values and achievement of religious and Islamic objectives and extends honour to months, years and days of Shuhada. On this basis, Muharram has been declared for remembrance of these historic moments. The honourable life and Shahadat of Syed-us-Shuhada Imam Aali Muqaam Hazrat Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) has written a new chapter of Muslim life that has impressed billions of people owing to his sacrifices, evolution, patience and forbearance.

The TNFJ chief said the Karbala incident is the evergreen story of brave resistance put up by the great personality and true representative of Allah and His Rasool (SAAW) i.e. Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) who taught the great lesson of supporting human friendship and human rights.

In addition to representatives form newspapers and TV channels, a large number of office-bearers of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, heads of subordinate bodies and Ulema Karaam was also present during the Press conference.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya prayed for the high standards for the Founder of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, solidarity of Pakistan, and development of Islam besides prayring for the whole nation including the journalist community.
