International organizations must take notice of the sufferings of oppressed Kashmiris - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, February 6: The Patron in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulama Board and Head of Tehreek e Nifaz e Fiqah Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that Kashmir is an area invisible from the eyes of those claimed to be responsible for International peace where prisons and graveyards are populated however, residential areas are deserted. International organizations must take notice of the sufferings of oppressed Kashmiris. United Nations must ensure actions on its resolutions as otherwise, it will lose its reason to exist. Freedom is the ultimate destiny of the Kashmiris following the path of Hussainiyat that will not be stopped by the Indian atrocities. Indian oppression against Kashmiris is serve crime against humanity, UN must convict India for war crimes and take action against her. Deployment of eight hundred thousand Indian soldiers in Kashmir is a clear violation of UN resolutions therefore, UN must get Indian forces evacuated from Kashmir, Human rights and political freedom must be restored for Kashmiris, ban on public meetings and gatherings must be lifted, India must be stopped from settling non-Kashmiris in the occupied Kashmir, UN must create human corridor in occupied Kashmir, Amnesty International and IFRC must also take notice of the deprived Kashmiris, international organizations must take notice of the construction of illegitimate Indian settlements in occupied Kashmir as they did for Israeli settlements in Palestine. The issue of Kashmir is not a bilateral dispute but the people of Kashmir are also an integral part of the issue. He said this while addressing on the occasion of the day of solidarity with Kashmir. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that the occupied Kashmir looks like a battlefield, the new wave of freedom movement started from 8th July 2016 and Kashmiris are sacrificing their lives in this movement on daily basis. Hundreds of innocent Kashmiris have lost their eyesight after getting shot by the Indian forces through pallet guns while thousands are suffering in hospitals. Children have become symbols of fear; chastity of women is being looted while thousands are missing. He said that Nehru himself took the dispute of Kashmir to United Nations and it has been seventy years since the matter is present on UN agenda. As per the formula of subcontinent division, Kashmir a Muslim majority area was supposed to become part of Pakistan however, India illegally occupied it on 27th October 1947 after conspiring with the Maharaja of Kashmir that continues till date. More than a dozen resolutions of United Nations from 1948 to 1957 decided resolve Kashmir issue through plebiscite by offering right of self-determination to Kashmiris. He said that India has tried everything to suppress love of freedom in the hearts of Kashmiris however, the courageous Kashmiris thwarted all Indian plans and not a single day passes without public protests and demonstrations demanding freedom. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that according to the 6th Chapter of UN charter, the resolutions on Kashmir are still implementable as their effectiveness was accepted under UN rules during the tenure of ex-Secretary General of UNO Boutros Ghali. Therefore, UN is bound to get actions ensured on her resolutions. He said that according to the UN resolutions, Pakistan can keep 3 to 6 thousand soldiers in Kashmir while India can keep only 12 to 18 thousand security personnel in the occupied Kashmir however today, more than eight hundred thousand Indian soldiers are involved in the worst aggression against oppressed Kashmiris. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that UN possess dual policies which take immediate action to get non-Muslims freed in Muslim states of Indonesia and Sudan while the organization remains unmoved despite seeing Muslims struggling and wailing for freedom. If Palestinians and Kashmiris raise voice for freedom, they are titled as terrorists but if a non-Muslim raises voice for freedom, he is projected as freedom fighter. Meanwhile, according to the information received in the Head Quarter Maktab e Tashyyo, rallies and demonstrations were organized to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris across Pakistan and Indian atrocities were condemned. Special prayers were offered in Masajid and Imambargahs where tributes were offered to the martyrs of Kashmir while UN was demanded to hold plebiscite in accordance with its resolutions about Kashmir.
