Continuous attack on the shrine of Syeda Zainab (S.A.) is a sign of deteriorating condition of the Muslim Nation - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, June 13: The day of mourning was observed throughout the country Sunday on the call of Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi against the terrorist attack on the holy shrine of Nawasi-e-Rasool Syeda Zainab Binte Ali (S.A.) in Damascus. Peaceful protest rallies were organised and condolence gatherings were held in all small and big cities and towns in which besides Shia, Sunni brethren, the representatives of minorities also participated. The attack on the Nawasi-e-Rasool Syeda Zainab Binte Ali (S.A.) was strongly condemned in these rallies and meetings and the desecration of Islami Sha’air were declared an open challenge for the Muslim Ummah.

A condolence meeting in this connection was also held at the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashayyo which was addressed by Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. Addressing the gathering, Agha Moosavi said that continuous attacks on the shrine of Nawasi-e-Rasool Syeda Zainab Binte Ali (S.A.) are the sign of downfall of the Islamic World. This inhuman activity has caused heart-felt grief to every follower of the Rasool (SAAW). He said it was unfortunate that the Muslim rulers are playing the role of silent spectators on these terrorist acts and if the situation remained so then the terrorists would not even spare the mazars of Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Ata Turk, and Suekaro. He said terrorism is an open war with Islam.

The TNFJ chief said that extremism has no link with Islam and the terrorism is being imposed on Muslims to stop the way of Islam. He advised the Muslim rulers to come out from their personal interests and insistence and devise a joint line of action against terrorism. He said Islam preaches to respect and protect the minorities’ places of worship so they cannot even think of trampling the holy places and places of worship belonging to Muslims. He said had the Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moallah were not razed to ground in 20th century then no one had the courage to attack the shrines of Bari Imam, Data Ganj Bux, Shah Abdullah Ghazi, Baba Farid Shakar Ganj Shakar, Hazrat Sakhi Sarwar, Kaka Jee and Rehman Baba.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that the commitment and courage displayed by Hazrat Zainab (S.A.) after Hussain’s (A.S.) Shahadat and the way she led the caravan of the Rasool’s (SAAW) Khanwada and thwarted the Yazidi conspiracy against Islamic teachings and values through her heart-rending addressed was enough to surprise the historians. He said the name of ‘Zainab’ has become the symbol of dignity and success and her shrine is the source of courage and commitment for every oppressed. The history of supremacy of Islam cannot complete without talking about Hazrat Zainab (S.A.), he added.
