Eidul Fitr is the submissive display of subservience in front of Almighty Allah – Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, July 18: The Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that Eidul Fitr is the submissive display of subservience and Bandagi in Bargah-e-Illahi. The real Eid is for the one who keeps remembering the oppressed, poor and have-nots. Committing sins should be avoided by keeping our hearts pure. He stated this in a special message issued on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.

Agha Moosavi said today Eid is being observed at a time when the Islamic World in confronted with oppression and brutality, terrorism is ripe in Muslim States; no country including Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Nigeria, Algiers, Libya, Yemen, Saudia and Bahrain is safe from targeted terrorism, while Pakistan despite the citadel of Islam and the lone Islamic atomic power is target of terrorism for the last three decades. He expressed satisfaction that the Pakistan’s Armed Forces have shattered terrorists but the enemy is utilizing all her energy in sabotaging the operation and to thwart the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as she does not like Pakistan’s better relations with Muslim States, and friendship with Afghanistan as a result of which she started hurling threats and carrying out frontier violations.

The TNFJ chief said that first deed of the Eid day is Fajr prayers and repeating those Takbeerat after the Eid prayers that are stated by Fuqaha; The second deed is payment of Zakat-e-Fitra before Eid prayers that becomes must from Chand Raat, as it is necessary for everyone to pay Zakat-e-Fitra for self, minor and other dependants, men and women and should be in material or price. He said condition for deserving people for Fitra is that they are Momin with good seerat and paying Fitra to one about whom it is feared that he may spend it in bad or Haram deeds is not correct. He said like Fitra is given from the family likewise it is also given from the side of guests who have come before the sun sets, however, those who have only come for Iftar cannot be considered such guests.

Agha Moosavi said the third deed for the Eid day is Ghusal-e-Eid which is Sunnah; The fourth deed is to eat something before the Eid prayers that marks that there is no fasting today; The fifth deed is performing two-Rakat Nimaz Eidul Fitr that has been termed Mustahib in Gheebat-e-Imam Zamana (A.S.). This Nimaz can be performed separately and also Ba-Jamaat for which Azan and Aqamat are not necessary, only utter ‘As-Salat’ and call people for the Jamaat; The sixth deed is recitation of Dua-e-Nabda the objective of which is the human being is not unaware of the Imam-e-Zamana (A.S.) in Eid festivities because there is a Hadees that one who died without recognizing the Imam of his era dies the death of an ignorant.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said the seventh deed of the Eid day is reciting Ziarat Imam Hussain (A.S.) as it is the expression of thanks to the Imam Aali Muqaam because Islam is spreading all around today and signs of Islam remain as a fruit of the great sacrifice of the Nawasa-e-Rasool, Shahzada-e-Konain Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) in the hot plains of Karbala that has been declared “Fadena o Bazibeh e Azeem” otherwise there would have no Nimaz, no fasting, no Shabs in Ramazan rather the whole Islam would have been the Taaq-e-Nisyan.
