Hamid Moosavi called upon the Islamic World to raise voice of protest against the sale of the Islamic heritage

ISLAMABAD, February 13: The Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has expressed grave concern on sale of invaluable antiques of Masjid Al-Haram and called upon the Islamic World to raise voice of protest against those who silently broke the Islamic heritage and auctioned the same in turn of worldly wealth. He said if it was not done that how the Muslims would protest for the annexation of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, desecration of Islamic holy places including Babri Masjid and publication of blasphemous caricatures. He stated this while talking to a representative delegation of elite from Punjab who called on him at the head of Ch. Lal Khan Khatana.

Agha Moosavi said the satanic forces never let any chance waste to defame Islam and not even hesitate desecrating the Paighambran-e-Illahi, Anbia-e-Karam, Mashaheer-e-Deen and Shariat and signs of Allah. He said Muslims the world over are being offended through publishing blasphemous caricatures on the desire of western powers for quite long and this shameful act is termed freedom of expression by the western forces. The fresh display of this satanic act was committed by a French journal by publishing blasphemous caricatures on which the whole Islamic World came out in protest but unfortunately Muslims themselves are doing the same. One brother Muslim country razed the holy shrines to ground in which the forefathers of Rasool (SAAW), Aal-e-Athaar (A.S.), Ajwaaj-e-Athaar and pious Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.) are resting.

The TNFJ chief expressed grave concern that the signs of Masjid-e-Nabavi and Masjid Al-Haram are not only being wiped out in the garb of expansion rather it has been revealed that the antiques found during the expansion were sold in the black market in return of plenty of riyals. According to this revelation, the invaluable articles are being sold from 6 to 150 thousand riyals. According to an Arab News report, some workers were found selling these articles to dealers. A dealer claimed on the condition of anonymity that he has original parts of these articles taken out from Masjid Al-Haram that were bought by him during the expansion process. He said the prices of some of these articles are being fixed that include a tile taken out from the basement of Zam Zam Well that was taken out in 1984 by the Saudi Shah while initiating the expansion plan and its price is 6 thousand riyals. According to the dealer, the price of a piece of copper about which it is thought that it is the cover of the Hazrat Ibrahim’s (A.S.) grave runs into thousands of riyals. The dealer said the market price of these articles has been increased because these are very old and belong to the era of Khalifate of Rashida and Khalifate of Usmania. Therefore, he said, the whole Muslim Ummah should play its role for the protection of this old Islamic heritage.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that Pakistan is the citadel of Islam and confronted with crises, and is facing terrorism permanently. He said it has come in the open that some countries are financially supporting extremist religious Madaris. He said although brother country Saudi Arabia has put the whole blame on the Government of Pakistan that aid is extended to Madaris through government, therefore the powers that be should explain this situation. He called upon the government to unveil the faces of those countries that are supporting terrorists. He said Pakistan’s Armed Forces are presenting the sacrifices of their lives to root out terrorism that is laudable. He said the government should raise the issue of terrorism at the United Nations and give priority to national interests keeping the personal and party interests asides.
