Protection of the rights of all the schools of thought and ethnic nationalities is the surety of stable and progressive Pakistan - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, August 30: The Guardian Supreme Shia Ullama Board and Leader of Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Moosavi said that protection of the rights of all the schools of thought and ethnic nationalities is the surety of stable and progressive Pakistan, we will always be on front line to protect the ideological basis of Pakistan. Any conspiracy to turn beloved homeland as sectarian or specific nationality based state will be failed by mutual harmony, fraternity and unity. It is obligatory upon rulers to remove the sense of deprivation of all the nationalities, schools of thought and even of minorities. The biggest sponsor of terrorism in Pakistan is India, which is extremely disturbed after de-rooting actions against terrorists. The main purpose of India’s creating disturbance on Line of Control is just to engage Pak-Army on boarder to deviate it from Operation Zarb e Azb. Anti-Pakistan powers want to sabotage National Action Plan and Pak-China Economic Corridor Project. They also want to deteriorate Pakistan’s relationship with other countries. Current political intrigues and political parties’ blame-game will benefit none but the enemies of Pakistan. Thus under current scenario all the political parties and rulers should get united and stand for the support of Pak-Army. We have to prove to the world that our brave and staunch army is not alone. Entire nation’s support is with our forces. National and religious services rendered by Mufti Jafar Hussain will always be remembered. These thoughts were expressed by Hamid Moosavi while addressing to a mourning assembly held in connection to the death anniversary of Ex-leader Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya Mufti Jafar Hussain (late).

Aqae Moosavi said that righteous scholars are considered as the heirs of prophets because they always stand against the dictators and tyrants of their time yet they did not back off from the words of Allah and righteousness. He said that after the independence, those thirty-one scholars who presented 22 points, Allama Kifayat Hussain and Allama Mufti Jafar Hussain presented the point of view of Fiqh e Jafariya in those points. On 12th of Rabi ul Awal, 1979, a dictator, after a military Coup, violated the ideological basis of Pakistan and declared it a specific sectarian state. On 13th of Rabi ul Awal, 1979, we were the first ones who raised voice against it from Ali Masjid that no one would be given authority to sabotage the ideological basis of Pakistan. After that movements were launched against this conspiracy throughout the country. Mufti Jafar Hussain had to resign from the Council of Islamic Ideology. In connection to the problem of the payment of Zakat is concern, it was clarified that Zakat is obligatory of eight articles and under Shia school of thought and payment of Zakat is subject to the permission of “Maraaj e Uzzaam” (Guardians of Shariah). Subsequently, Mufti Jafar Hussain was appointed as the Leader of Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya in All Pakistan Shia convention at Bhakkar and the entire nation, though there were differences of opinion, yet, accepted his leadership to demonstrate nation’s unity and brotherhood. To fail the domestic conspiracies on foreign funding, which were being promoted to annihilate the thoughts of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya captured Islamabad parliament house and presented their demands to the government. Under the pressure of public Zia ul Haq had to bow down to the demands and on 6th of July, 1980, Zia announced that during the process of legislation of Islamization, the Shia school of thought and their scholars would be taken under consideration. To immune the followers of Shia Schools of thought for the payment of Zakat, official directions were issued. Agha Hamid Moosavi said that the conspiracies of Zia did not end here and after the death of Mufti Jafar Hussain, Governor Punjab, put limitations on the processions of Milad un Nabvi and Azadari e Imam Hussain by amending the Police Act 1861, Art 30(3). Tehreek e Nafaz e Fiqh e Jafariya stood against it, almost 14000 people were arrested and an eight months long peaceful agitation was launched which resulted the 21st May, 1985 Moosavi-Junaijo Accord. This certifies that all the traditional and license based processions of Azadari and Milad un Nabvi will keep on going throughout the country and will be fully immune from Police Act 1861, Art 30(3).

Aqa e Moosavi made it clear that those powers target Pakistan time and again are just punishing her because of its Islamic ideological foundation. Practical implementation of the ideological basis of Pakistan is the only way to achieve the vision of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and efforts of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
