Protest is the right of every person and the party but protest for electoral reforms is the tune being sung untimely – Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, May 11: The Patron-in-Chief of the Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that protest is the right of every person and the party but protest for electoral reforms is the tune being sung untimely. The poor people demand immediate relief form issues like terrorism, price hike, load-shedding and Sui gas therefore the rulers and politicians should not create such situations that may force the people start hating democracy. Pakistan and surrounded by internal and external enemies, shortage of gas and electricity coupled with price hike are disturbing their days and nights and they have no interest in protest calls and strikes. He stated this while addressing the Mehfil Baab-ul-Murad at Shaeb-e-Abi Talib (A.S.) in connection with the Wiladat Ba Saadat of Imam Muhammad Taqi (A.S.).

Agha Moosavi said presenting the issue between the elite forces and a media channel as the biggest issue in Pakistan is tragic. The possible success of anti-Pakistan forces in the neighbouring countries of Afghanistan and India and mistrust in relations with long-standing friends like China and Iran owing to incidents of terrorism provides food for thought. Such a situation may be beneficial for the enemy but not for the motherland. He said we desire success in the dialogue but giving an open hand to terrorists by binding the hands and legs of the protectors of the motherland is totally unacceptable. He advised the government to take decisive steps against terrorists by taking the Parliament into confidence. We would have to follow the seerat of Mushkil Kusha-e-Do Jehan Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) so as to get rid of crises facing the country. He appealed the Islamiyan-e-Pakistan to observe International Ayyam-e-Murtazvi from 11-13 Rajab and pray for unity of the Islamic World, stability of Pakistan and rooting out of terrorism and problems of the people.

Agha Moosavi accused the rulers and politicians that they were not doing politics but hypocrisy; no one is ready to term righteousness as righteousness and evil as the evil. Hypocrisy has reached its peak and those who have infuriated the journalist community are also infuriating the Pakistan’s armed forces and are trying to polish their politics in the process. Old scores with institutions are being settled and no one cared to the motherland and the people. He said the people had given mandate not to make accusation but for getting rid of the problems confronted by them but their basic issues like terrorism, load-shedding of electricity and gas, and unemployment have increased manifold instead.

Agha Moosavi said that when Amirul Momineen Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) put hand on the elements fond of corruption, oppression and brutality, he was advised not to touch these elements as an option of better politics but he replied that I, Ali (A.S.) cannot seek help from oppression and brutality, and if I do so then I am not Ali and if I am given the charge of Haft Aqleem even then I cannot afford snatching even a loaf from an ant. He said the Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) had declared Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) as the best Qazi and Chief Justice of Islam. Difficult decisions in all eras of Khulfa-e-Rashideen were used to be presented before Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) and on one of such occasions Hazrat Omar bin Khatab had said “Omar would have died if Ali was not there.”

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that the personality of Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) is the symbol of bravery, loyalty, justice and fair-play. In this era of oppression, terrorism and hypocrisy, there is need to follow the character of Fateh-e-Khyber Haider-e-Karrar (A.S.), he concluded.
