The 1973 Constitution of Pakistan is the fruit of combined efforts of all schools of thought and guarantees enforcement of Shariat  - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, February 10: The chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that Pakistan is the bouquet of Masalik and Makatib of Pakistan where supremacy of any particular group will never be accepted. The 1973 Constitution of Pakistan is the fruit of combined efforts of all schools of thought and guarantees enforcement of Shariat. Talking about any new system in the name of Shariat is tantamount to opening a Pandora’s Box and pushing the country towards anarchy. From Banu Ummayad and Banu Abbas to Ziaul Haq using Islam as shield for achieving condemnable desires is the old tactic of greedy ones while becoming shield for Islam showering their lives and wealth is the habit of Ahle Bait Athaar (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.). Every Kalma-reciting is under the obligation to thwart those elements who desire to deface the religion and Shariat by confronting Khulafa-e-Rashideen and Khanwada-e-Rasool. Nawasa-e-Rasool Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) kissed Shahadat to save the Shariat-e-Muhammadi therefore Hussainiyyat is the protector of religion and Shariat in every era. He expressed these views while addressing a gathering on the beginning of Ayyam-e-Askari being observed from February 9-11 to mark the Wiladat-e-Purnoor of Hazrat Imam Hassan Askari (A.S.).

Agha Moosavi said that in Adla Arba’a, Quran and Sunnah are the supreme source of Islam and there is Hadees of the Hazoor-e-Akram (SAAW) that after me there would be 73 sects in my Ummah, therefore, we will have to accept that there are 73 translations of the Quran and Sunnah. He said my question is that which translation and interpretation the supporters of new Shariat desire to implement? A system based on the interpretation of any particular group can only be implemented at a place where the followers of that particular group and sect reside while there is nothing of the sort in Pakistan. Here Sunni, Shia, Deobandi, Barelvi, Ahle Hadees, and followers of Muqlid and non-Muqlid Masalik live and Pakistan is the fruit of joint struggle of all schools of thought therefore here only those commandments will be enforced that are respectable before all sects.

The TNFJ chief said after the creation of Pakistan about half a dozen constitutions were made, 31 ulema set out 22 points. As a punishment of being Islam as the official religion of the State we lost half of the country. At present the perpetual opponents of Pakistan have stated that thanks God they were not part of the sin of making Pakistan. He said 1973 Constitution is a consensus document credit of which goes to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. All sects participated in constitution making in which Hazrat Maulana Mufti Mehmood, Hazrat Mualana Shah Ahmed Noorani and few other personalities were included. Under the article 2 of the Constitution, Islam was declared as the official religion of Pakistan and it was the Bhutto era when Friday was declared a weekly holiday and the Qadianis were declared non-Muslims and as a result of its punishment the public leader was sent to the gallows. He said when a dictator took over the reign of power, he tried to turn Pakistan into a group’s State diverting from the Nazria-e-Asaasi on the desire of international colonial powers. As a reaction Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya came into being and announced that Pakistan will not be allowed to keep away from the path of Shariat. He said the Tehreek took over the Pakistan Secretariat as a protest on July 6, 1980 and as a result of this strong protest the conspiracy of turning the motherland into a Maktabi State by some particular group was thwarted.

Agha Moosavi said that when failed attempt was made to limit and discontinue the Azadari-e-Imam Mazloom, the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya launched an 8-month long agitation and courted more than 14,000 arrests as a result of which May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement came into being that guarantees protection to the processions of Nana and Nawasa. As a punishment for this agreement the government of Muhammad Khan Junejo was sent home. He said we had also rejected the Private Shariat Bill presented in the Senate on the desire of the dictator saying that there is no need of any Shariat Bill in the presence of 1973 Constitution and Shariat is not enforced through bill but through the sincerity of purpose.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said Imam Hassan Askari (A.S.) spent his life confronting six dictators who pushed Muslims toward loss doing politics in the name of Shariat but the character of Imam Askari (A.S.) proved that neither our forefathers retreated from the right path nor we will do the same. We can sacrifice everything for Islam but will not bargain or let anyone else bargain on Shariat, he added.
