Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi announced a 16-point Code of Azadari for upcoming Muharram ul Harram

RAWALPINDI, November 1: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi while announcing a 16-point Code of Azadari has made it clear that we have neither accepted any hurdle and interference in Azadari before nor we are going to accept the same in future. The situation may be sour or hard but the exemplary sacrifice of Nawasa-e-Rasool Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) will be always be kept alive owing to which Islam is still alive. Answering different questions at a crowded Press conference along Ulema Karaam, elite of the Tehreek and office-bearers of the TNFJ Muharram Committee Azadari Cell, here Thursday, Agha Moosavi said every government makes arrangements on papers through bureaucracy who without consulting the representatives of the nation form adulatory peace committees contrary to the ground realities and try to befool the people. It is unfortunate that even in the present era the innocent and peace-loving people are bound while the banned organisations are roaming about freely and playing with the life and property of the people. He called upon the rulers to become brave and tighten noose around 65 banned groups most of whom have also changed their names.

Agha Moosavi talking with reference to dialogue with Taliban said every Nabi including the Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) carried out dialogue with the oppressors and tyrants rulers in every era. If Taliban do not accept the constitution, even then dialogue should be initiated with them because not carrying out dialogue is commensurate with strengthening American power. He said America herself is initiating dialogue with Taliban and they should not feel troubled if Pakistan does the same. He said in Hudaibia, the atheists of Makkah did not recongise Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) as the Prophet of Allah and had refused to accept Islamic Constitution. But, he added, the Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) entered in dialogue with them which culminated in Sulah-e-Hudaibia that became the preface of Fatah-e-Mubeen i.e. Makkah’s victory. Therefore, he said, dialogue should be carried out with the extremist groups till last.

Answering a question, the TNFJ chief said that America by carrying out Drone attack before Nawaz Sharif’s return home has announced the results of Prime Minister’s America Yatra. He said Nawaz Sharif had gone to America with an agenda to stop Drone attacks, return of Aafia Siddiqui and trade in which he failed miserably. He said the live nations protect themselves therefore we should get rid of America following the Asswah of Rasool (SAAW) and Aal-e-Rasool (A.S.) because it is Allah Who is Super Power and not America, therefore the one who banks on Allah will emerge successful. He said there is need to tighten noose around those who allowed Drone attacks. The government should also carry out the accountability of the outgoing government and the Musharraf era viz. Drone attacks.

Agha Moosavi said except Quaid-i-Azam and a few politicians, all rulers followed the policies of the international Satan i.e. America. He said dictator Ziaul Haq was the founder of terrorism who tried to destruct the Pakistan Ideology by turning Pakistan into a Maslaki and Maktabi State but Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya thwarted his designs and I myself went to jail along with my children while our 14,000 workers also went to jail against his designs as a result of which the official religion of Pakistan, by the Grace of God, today is Islam and not any Sunni, Shia, Barelvi or Deobandi Maslak. He said the 8-month agitation of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya culminated in Junejo-Moosavi agreement which was not aimed at for Shias only but for the whole Ahle Islam and Pakistan and that gave protection to Eid-e-Milad and Azadari processions.

Talking about restrictions imposed on Zakireen and Ulema before Muharram, he said we did not accept restrictions on Azadari before nor will accept the same in future. He said we are peaceful citizens of Pakistan and are bound to the commandments of Allah only and we reserve our right to take legal action in this connection. He said the government should improve relations with its neighbours, particularly with the Islamic States. But unfortunately, he added, the Afghan soil was always used against Pakistan and it is that soil from where India is playing her game. He said the Rasool-e-Akram (SAAW) had honoured his agreements even with atheists and Pakistan should also honour the Gas Pipeline Agreement signed with brotherly Islamic State of Iran without considering any sanctions. Giving the example of Shoeb-e-Abi Talib he said the rulers should not take care of American threats.

Agha Moosavi said that there is no Shia-Sunni conflict throughout the world including Pakistan, it is the war of a few groups and two Muslim States have made Pakistan a battlefield of their own interests while the Satanic trio of America, India and Israel desire to reap benefit of infuriating this situation. But, he added, they will not let any war between Sunnis and Shias till they are alive. We can die ourselves but will not let Pakistan murdered. He said the government is under the obligation to the check the

accounts of those Ulema, politicians and parties who are deprived of their immediate needs till yesterday and how they have become billionaires within no time.

The TNFJ chief said that Saudi denial to accept Security Council seat is not enough, Muslims should achieve the right to veto. Those Muslims who are in the forefront in subservience to America, they should give priority to Islam and give the discrimination of Arab and Ajam. He said it is tragic that Muslims are not being allowed to perform their religious rites according to their own faith. The Saudi rulers should follow the Khutba-e-Hajj of their own Mufti-e-Azam first. He said in attacks from Darbar Bari Imam, Sakhi Mahmood Shah to Syria, Saudi Arabia, Tunis, Egypt, Libya the same ideologists are behind it who had destructed the holy shrines of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moallah in 1924. Answering a question about the death penalty, he said this authority only rested with the Khatamul Anbia (SAAW) who forgave all blood on Fatah-e-Makkah and the present rulers should not try to become Nabi or Amirul Momineen as under Islam no ruler or the government has the authority to give up death term.

Agha Moosavi said that on this basis the Hazoor-e-Akram had said that حسین منی و انا من الحسین. He is responsible for the revival of my religion, giving it a new lease of life, and for its survival and stability. Today, 1400 centuries have passed to the incident of Karbala but it is still alive in the hearts of the people. No city, town, or village is there where Hussain (A.S.) is not remembered, Majalis are not organised and Azadari processions are not taken out, Azadars, Matmis, Qama-Zan and Zanjeer-Zans not pay pursa in Bargah-e-Risalat for his grandson. He said, today, we are observing Muharramul Haraam in a situation where no part of the motherland is spared from the reach of terrorists; international colonial powers, Zionists and Hindus are surrounding it, Drone attacks are in plenty, dialogues are being initiated but the terrorists were continuing their gory incidents, everyone from home and community to cities, provinces, provincial capitals are in the range of terrorism while Indian army was busy in violating the Line of Control. Uncertainty is prevailing in the country, people are in fear and harassment, criminals, extractors, and kidnappers have made the life of the people difficult. This is our motherland, protection of people and Pakistan is responsibility of us all. Therefore, seerat of Rasool (SAAW) and Aal-e-Rasool (A.S.) is the beacon of light for us during Muharramul Haraam. This is the testing time and we will have to display unity and brotherhood by following the path of Hussainiyyat and make commitment to follow the following Code of Azadari in letter and spirit from first Muharram to 8th Rabiul Awwal i.e. Ayyam Aza-e-Hussaini so as to thwart the internal and external conspiracies of the enemies.

Meanwhile, announcing a 16-point Code of Azadari during his Press conference, the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said: Government may follow the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi Agreement in connection with taking out of Azadari processions; Muharram Azadari Cells may be set up at Interior Ministry, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Federal, Provincial (including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas) and District levels and should be publicized through media so as to resolve the possible Azadari issues. Moreover, these Cells may keep close coordination with the Muharram Committees (Azadari Cells) of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya. These Cells should remain intact till 8 Rabiul Awwal; The sensitive cities may be handed over to the army, District administrations throughout the country may be directed to avoid creating fear and harassment amongst the Azadars, and organisers of Majalis and mourning processions so that they may complete the Azadari rites with honour and respect and no such order may be issued that may encroach upon the rights of anyone. Advance protective measures may be taken at all sensitive places during Majalis-e-Aza and Azadari processions. If, God forbid, any issue takes place, the processions may not be stopped rather help may be extended to conclude the same at their destinations with honour and respect; Special arrangements be made throughout the country at places of Majalis-e-Aza and the cleanliness and lighting arrangement be made en route procession. No power or gas and CNG load-shedding should be done; Strict implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act may ensure and no one should be allowed to take law into his own hands. All types of biases may be disallowed; Noose around the banned groups may be tightened, coverage of banned groups on media should be stopped and people, politicians and rulers may also announce their hatred against them; The possible Azadari issues may be resolved amicable on local level. In any other case, the Central Muharram Committee (Azadari Cell) may be approached; The organisers of Majalis may take protective measures under self-help basis. They may arrange all necessary measures including the walk-through gates. People should remain fully alert, keep an eye on the situation around and immediately inform the administration if they notice any suspicious person or thing so as to thwart the nefarious designs of the miscreants; All Makatib may preach their beliefs in a positive manner and highlight the good deeds of the Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.); Ulema, waizeen and zakireen may give priority to integrity of the religion, the nation and the country; Political parties may discontinue all types of political activities and Azadars may give priority to Azadari

over all other things; The holy month of Muharram is allocated to the everlasting sacrifices of Syed-us-Shuhada and his die-hard companions, therefore the electronic and print media may not only present the sacrifices of Shuhada-e-Karbala in an effective manner but also avoid indecent programmes and Munkiraat and radio and television may remain all types of music, dramas, and comedy programmes suspended during the Ashra-e-Muharram; Discipline and timings may be ensured during Majalis-e-Aza and Matmi processions and any step that may be against the spirit of Azadari may be avoided; Women may follow the seerat and character of Mukhadderat-e-Ismat and Taharat, Ahle Bait Athaar (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar. All Makatib and Masalik should be respected and respect of all of them may be ensured; The organisers of Majalis may follow the Code of Azadari themselves and also make it binding on others; The powers that be may ensure practical implementation of this Code of Azadari from village to high level. Our cooperation under will continue.

Towards the conclusion of his Press conference, Agha Moosavi expressed the hope that the rulers, people and all institutions would follow the Code of Azadari in letter and spirit and will leave no stone unturned in its implementation.
