For the sake of the honour of the nation, the patriotic public must not cast their vote in favour of the banned groups in upcoming elections – Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, March 23: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has made a fervent appeal to the people not to vote terrorist banned groups in the forthcoming general elections come what may so as to turn the motherland into a hub of peace, for supremacy of green flag, rooting out terrorism and to overcome all types of crises and Pakistan could be turned into a welfare Islamic State keeping to the desires of Mufakkar-e-Pakistan Allama Iqbal and Founder of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This was stated by him while addressing a gathering in connection with the Pakistan Day and marking the beginning of Hafta Azmat-e-Muhammad and Aal-e-Muhammad that is being observed from 10-16 Jamadi-us-Thani.

Agha Moosavi said the resolution adopted on March 23, 1940 became the preface of creation of motherland and name of Pakistan appeared on the world. He said Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the courageous leader of the Muslims in the Sub-continent who had committed to create an Islamic welfare State for Muslims and had advised the bureaucracy to follow the rules and regulations being servants of Pakistan citizens and had declared the Pakistan’s armed forces as the protectors of the motherland. But unfortunately, he added, the country landed in the hands of bureaucracy, martial law and wadera-shahi elements as a result of which half of the country was lost. He said there was time when the country was considered a citadel of Islam but the politicians lost one half of this citadel owing to their mistakes.

The TNFJ chief said the anti-ideology powers were active again today. First, Gen. Zia announced to turn Pakistan into a State of a particular group to the reaction of which Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya openly thwarted this conspiracy. He called upon the people to wake up politically because anti-Pakistan forces have stated playing the same game. They damaged Pakistan by first fanning tribal, provincial, lingual, group, and sectarian biases and after facing defeat. Later on the behest of some foreign powers, the religious extremist and terrorist banned groups have been registered by the Election Commission and have been issued election symbols also that is an open violation of the Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution. This trend, he added, is not only an attempt to divert Pakistan from Nazria-e-Asaasi rather is harmful for the nation and the country. He said the TNFJ, as a protest, has decided not to field its candidates in the general elections, however, an election policy for the Maktab-e-Tasheyyo will be announced in favour of those political parties that would give written guarantees for the protection of ideology and Pakistan and for fulfilment of rights of the Maktab-e-Tasheyyo.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi lamented that even the political parties could not satisfy people, trade with India was encouraged, Indian prime minister Vajpayee’s visit to Pakistan was declared successful and in that era 26 mosques and Imam Bargahas were put on fire in the provincial capital of the Punjab while another party with the slogan of Roti, Kapra and Makan was bent upon terming India the Most Favoured Nation. He said the statement of new American defence minister stands witness that India has opened a front against Pakistan in Afghanistan as a result of which suicide attacks were ripe in Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa while even Gilgit-Baltistan, Parachinar and Federal Capital Islamabad were not safe. Different agencies and Black Water were roaming about freely while price hike, unemployment, energy crisis and terrorism have made the life of people difficult. He said the country could be put on the path of stability and development rather every conspiracy of the enemy could be thwarted by following the principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline advised by the Quaid-i-Azam.
