The remarks of the Chief Justice in connection with the Quetta incident in the Supreme Court has supported our point of view that the government had dodged the oppressed people of Quetta - Hamid Moosavi

ISLAMABAD, February 28: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that the remarks of the Chief Justice in connection with rejecting the government report in suo moto notice of Quetta incident in the Supreme Court has supported our point of view that the government had dodged the oppressed people of Quetta because the biggest incident of terrorism at Keerani Road in Quetta in the presence of FC and the Governor Rule was government’s inability and failure therefore the Quetta city may be handed over to the army for restoration of peace. The security agencies responsible for restoration of peace have committed negligence or they have no capability to do or they are afraid of terrorists. There are black sheep in these agencies who are playing in the hands of terrorists and are keeping a soft corner for them. This was stated by him while delivering his presidential address at the joint high level meeting of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya and its subordinate bodies at Al-Murtaza in Islamabad.

Agha Moosavi said that it has become clearer from the comments of seasoned and renowned correspondents that the mutual collusion of politicians and banned terrorist groups is a bad scar on the face of democratic history of our country and the groups that spread biases on the behest of foreign assistance in general elections in the past are now in collusion with politicians and political parties fanning biases. One of such examples, he added, was that in 1993 elections for some of the National and Provincial Assembly seats there was agreement for support for the controversial sectarian, anti-State and anti-Islam Bill in exchange of votes the signatories to which were present President Asif Zardari, former president Farooq Leghari, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and chief of a terrorist, banned group. He said the politicians and political parties had been adopting paths in conflict to the constitution, law and Pakistan Ideology for the sake of political, party and personal interests and it has now been proved that terrorism is the need of rulers and politicians and the heinous game of terrorism is being played with their collusion.

The TNFJ chief said taking sou moto notice by the Chief Justice in these circumstances is a good step but the nation desires that the apex court may initiate enquiry into all incidents from the black era of Gen. Zia to-date and set up a large board to review the reasons and identify those responsible rather suggest strict punishment for those responsible so the people could be get rid of the monster of terrorism and the country could be turned into a hub of peace. He made it clear that terrorism in the motherland was initiated by the colonial powers when the then a dictator was patted on his back to use Pakistan for Russian surrender in Afghanistan and now no part and section of the country is safe from terrorism. At present the perpetual enemy is upset on the agreement of handing over the Gwader port to China while some countries including America are also set up on Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline agreement. Therefore, the Government of Pakistan should made it clear to them that Pakistan is not a subordinate State rather an independent and autonomous country and interference in our affairs would be considered as aggression.

Agha Moosavi said there is a complete and active network of anti-Pakistan forces in the brotherly country of Afghanistan on which the new American foreign minister stands witness while Muslims were still following discrimination on the basis of Arab and Ajam. He demanded from the government to put ban on politics on Maktab, lingual, and sectarian basis, political parties should prove their hatred against banned groups through their deeds so as to root the element of terrorism from politics. He said it is the government that has failed in tackling terrorism because if a government desires not a single straw could be moved without her approval, they all are in collusion with thieves and terrorists. He said our gentlemanliness should not be considered as a weakness, we keep Islam and Pakistan very dear to us, and we have always given priority to principles but would never allow anyone to snatch our rights. He said we have confronted a dictator in a manly manner and did not allow to put Pakistan at the mercy of groupism and sectarian and nor we would allow anyone to do so in future.

The TNFJ chief said protection of the life, wealth and honour of the people is the responsibility of the rulers and there remains no justification for them to rule if they fail in fulfilling this duty. He called upon the government to initiate operation against all banned groups without any discrimination to restore peace. None of the Sunnis, Deobandis, Barelvis, Ahle Hadees and Shias is terrorists, he said adding that the banned terrorist groups use the name of Masalik and Makatib despite the fact the terrorism has no link with Maktab and Maslak as they are terrorists and linking them with sects would be oppression and injustice. He called upon the Chief Justice to stop terrorists from using the name of Makati, take suo moto notice of issuing arms licences to them and get it investigated that who provided them with required articles and vehicles, etc. Moreover their deep relations with politicians should also be kept under watch.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said the same security agencies should carry out operation in the affected areas including Quetta-Balochistan and Karachi who had performed exemplary operation in Swat. He said if the army can be summoned for voters’ lists and other jobs then it should also be summoned for restoration of peace immediately by exercising powers under Article 245 and the hint to which himself was given by the Prime Minister by announcing Governor’s Rule in Balochistan by saying that army can be called in if required. He said when such requirement would arise other than today when every home in Quetta is mournful and every eye is shedding tears, therefore, army should be summoned to restore law and order immediately. He said terming the country (India) as a Most Favoured Nation that has torn Pakistan into pieces would be contrary to the desires of Kashmiris and treachery with the blood of Shuhada-e-Kashmir before solution to the Kashmir issue.
