The government should fulfil its responsibility viz the Mastung incident - Shuja'at Ali Bukhari

The government should arrange DNA tests of the unrecognisable bodies of the incident on its own expense and should make arrangements to deliver these bodies to their respective homes; the compensation should be announced and must be handed over to the bereaved families; the injured must be treated on the government expense; the monster of the terrorism is ready to swallow the whole of the nation but the judiciary is silent - press conference of the TNFJ Azadari Cell

RAWALPINDI, January 3: Syed Shuja'at Ali Bokhari, Convener of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan has demanded from the government to fulfil its responsibility viz Shuhada and injured of the Mastung incident, and immediately hand over the unrecognisable bodies of the incident to their bereaved families after getting the DNA tests done on government expenses and make arrangements to deliver these bodies to their respective homes. Financial assistance should also be announced and paid immediately while the injured should be treated on government expenses. This was stated by him while addressing an emergent press conference Wednesday at the TNFJ Help Counter set up here at Holy Hospital. He was flanked by Central Tehreek Spokesman Allama Qamar Zaidi, Mastung Incident Committee head Syed Guftar Hussain Sadiqi, Deputy Secretary Muharram Committee Azadari Cell Syed Ajmal Hassan Naqvi, Allama Zahid Abbas Kazmi, Allama Basharat Hussain, Allama Zawwar Madni, Allama Matloob Taqi, TNFJ Punjab Joint Secretary Iftikhar Hussain Mashadi, Chairman MFP Ch. Abu Baidar Ali, Supreme Commander Syed Amjad Hussain Naqvi, Haji Nasir Abbas Karbalai, Raja Saqib Mehdi, Malik Furqani. Dr. Arshad Ali Sabir M.S. and Tariq Niazi DMS of other senior officers of the Holy Family Hospital were also present on the occasion.

Shujaat Ali Bokhari called upon the government to implement their demands viz. Shuhada of Mastung incidents immediately so as not to force the affected of the incident to take any suitable action. Answering a question, he said the incident took place on December 30 in which the Zaireen buses were targeted as a result of which more than 40 Zaireen kissed Shahadat and dozens of them were injured. A quite number of affected are in Quetta and their list is not yet available to them. The Government of Balochistan has shifted 19 bodies of the Shuhada and airlifted 9 injured to Rawalpindi and they mostly belong to Dadu, Nawabshah, Khairpur Mirs and some districts of the Punjab. As many as 16 bodies reached Holy Family and three in District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi. All these bodies are unrecognisable and DNA tests are needed for their recognition which involved heavy expenses. He said some bereaved families have contacted the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya on which the Tehreek representatives visited the hospitals immediately, made arrangements for stay of these families and have immediately set up the TNFJ Help Counter so as to smoothen all these arrangements. The contact No. of this Counter is: 0321-5014512. He said families of the Shuhada and injured are coming in a large number and Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya will provide all possible assistance. He thanked the administration and doctors of the Holy Family Hospital who have formed a committee to help out in all matters.

Shujaat Bokhari said the luggage of the Zaireen was turned into ashes along with the buses and now their bereaved families have thronged the hospitals helplessly. He lamented that the Federal or Balochistan government have not yet announced any help for the affected families nor any responsible government personality, minister or adviser came to hospitals to encourage the affected. Answering a question he said after the September 20, 2012 incident in which Zaireen going from Quetta to Taftaan were pulled out of buses, recognised as Zaireen were targeted, we had contacted the Balochistan government to provide security to the Zaireen and a written assurance was given to this effect but in a recent incident of terrorism in which Zaireen caravan was attacked but the security guards appointed to protect them remained unhurt that poses a question mark on the sincerity of these arrangements? He said the government should probe where the security lapse lies as a result of which this incident took place.

Answering another question, Shujaat Bokhari said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan can take the suo moto notice with reference to a child in Sindh but he could not see incidents of terrorism the fresh examples of which are Quetta incident, Peshawar incident of terrorism, attack on Airbase, suicide attack on Bashir Bilour despite the fact the whole nation stood behind him for his restoration.
