The Chief Justice should order steps in the light of the desires of the affected of the Quetta incident - Mazhar Ali Shah

ISLAMABAD, February 22: Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General, Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan has cursed such a democracy in which humanity was unsafe, massacre of innocent people is not democracy but barbarism. He said the nation is thankful to the Chief Justice on his belated suo moto notice of the Quetta incident but now is the time to set up a judicial commission to probe all incidents of terrorism and take concrete measures so that the people may get themselves rid of terrorism. He said the bereaved families have not accepted the Quetta agreement of Kerani Road incident, therefore, the Chief Justice may order steps in the light of the desires of the affected, get the firing incident at the time of burial investigated that why the already hurt bereaved families were attacked? He said the government should respond that how a resident of Gilgit-Baltistan could be the representative of the Hazara community? He said the government struck an agreement with banned groups declaring their representative as they are not even recognised by their own Makatab while the real representative organisations were being pushed to the wall. The oppressed people of Quetta are still stuck up to their demand to handover the control to the army for restoration of peace. These views were expressed by him while talking to the elite from the federal areas here at “Al-Murtaza”.

The TNFJ leader said that the rulers showed their cold-shouldered attitude as the bodies of the Shuhada remained unburied for four days and they did nothing and only formed a parliamentary committee and despatched it to Quetta when the TNFJ staged a demonstration in front of the Parliament House demanding the President and the Prime Minister to go to Quetta that in the connivance with the non-representative people struck an agreement the nefarious designs of which were unveiled early in the morning and these so-called leaders and rulers were forced to run away from the scene. He said the administration desecrated the bodies by resorting to firing on the innocent bereaved families and now they are being threatened to face legal action. He said the government hesitates in talking to the representatives organisations because they keep to their stands whether the demands or fulfilled or not.

The TNFJ Secretary General reminded that the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi had called upon the government before Muharramul Haram that the sensitive cities may be handed over to the army but that does not mean martial law rather seeking help of the army to restore peace like the army was summoned in Dera Ismail Khan during the Ashra-e-Muharram. He said the already tested police officers famous for setting the terrorists free have been imposed on the people of Quetta and the people should be ready for more problems is such steps continued on the part of the government. He said it is obligatory for all recognised schools of thought to recognize their friends and foes and keep in mind that the sit-in people were not their representatives rather they are the agents of the international powers.
