The peaceful protest demonstrations were held in all districts of Rawalpindi to mark the conclusion of country-wide Ayyam-e-Tarheem on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya in connection with the Quetta incident

RAWALPINDI, February 20: Peaceful protest demonstrations were held in all districts of Rawalpindi to mark the conclusion of country-wide Ayyam-e-Tarheem on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya in connection with the Quetta incident. Ulema and TNFJ elite addressed the protest meetings and rallies and announced their commitment to continue their struggle of supporting the oppressed and expressing hatred against the oppressors and terrorism while terrorists will be condemned on every forum.

A strong protest demonstration was staged at Kutchery Chowk near the Army House and GHQ in Rawalpindi under the auspices of TNFJ City Council led by Ulema and local elite of the Tehreek. The demonstrators put some tyres on fire and created hurdles to close the Chowk from all sides. The enraged demonstrators were raising vociferous slogans against the Quetta incident and were carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans. They were also carrying portraits of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Addressing the demonstrators, Regional Council TNFJ chief Allama Syed Abu Al-Hassan Taqi expressed grave concern that at present the whole world including the motherland Pakistan was in the grip of terrorism for quite long. The enemies have turned Quetta and Karachi Maqtalgahs and no day passes without any bloody incidents. He strongly demanded from the government to implement the demands of the bereaved families of the Shuhada of Kerani incident Quetta and made fervent appeal to the Chief of the Army Staff to be merciful to the nation and take over the control of Quetta and Karachi and get the innocent citizens rid of terrorists. He said the army was the last hope of the nation who has lost their precious lives in rooting out terrorists from the country and the whole nation pays tributes to them. Allama Mohsin Ali Hamdani, Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, Ch. Mushtaq Hussain, and Syed Naseer Hussain Sabzwari also addressed the gathering.

A resolution presented by Abbas Jafri on the occasion was approved through vociferous slogans by the demonstrators in which they demanded from the Governor Balochistan to hand over the Quetta city to the army forthwith so as to tackle the terrorists. The resolution said that if the army can be called for verification of the voters’ lists and check the electricity metres throughout the country then why they cannot be called for restoration of peace? The resolution said the point of view of the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya was quite clear that a terrorist keeps no Maslak, religion or a country, he is only a terrorist and should be tackled only in that context. The resolution demanded to check the banned elements who were carrying out jalao-gherao in the garb of these incidents, demanded strict implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act and check the black sheep penetrated in the agencies and government institutions, and give exemplary punishment to all those involved in acts of terrorism.
