TNFJ announced the observation of the ‘Universal Ashra Beemar-e-Karbala’ from 15-25 Muharramul Haram

ISLAMABAD, November 29: Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan has announced to observe ‘International Ashra Beemar-e-Karbala’ from 15-25 Muharramul Haram in connection with the Shahadat of Syed-us-Sajideen Hazrat Imam Zainul Abideen (PBUH) on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. Addressing the office-bearers of TNFJ Federal Council Muharram Committee Azadari Cell he expressed satisfaction over the peaceful Ashra-e-Muharram and said the government had made good steps as per its capacity. However, he said, despite some tragic incidents in Dera Ismail Khan, Karachi, Dhoke Syedan Rawalpindi and some other places, Azadars by following the Code of Azadari issued from the Markaz-e-Tashih, displayed wisdom and patience declaring upon the world that we desire peace and tranquillity because Islam preaches peace and condemns all types of terrorism.

Mazhar Ali Shah said Muharram is not limited to Ashoora only rather the Azadari programmes continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal, therefore, it is obligatory for the government, opposition, media and all others to keep the sanctity of these days in view and the Muharram Control Rooms established at federal and provincial levels may continue to exist so as to smoothen the holding of Majalis and mourning processions. He expressed grave concern that progress has been made so far in the terrorism incident including that of Dhoke Syedan Rawalpindi that took place during the Ashra-e-Muharram. He demanded immediate arrest and suitable action against the culprits, payment of compensation to the affected and provision of special facilities to the injured undergoing treatment in hospitals.

He called upon the media to highlight the integrity of the motherland and dignity and honour of the Makatib so as to thwart the conspiracies and mischief of the internal and external enemies. He said all satanic powers should keep in mind that we cannot be overcome through threats and blasts because we are the followers of Hussain (PBUH), we can give up everything and can offer any biggest sacrifice but would not allow anyone to cause any harm to Azadari and play with the motherland and its integrity.

Mazhar Ali Shah terming the restrictions on mobile service on Ashoora a temporary solution demanded from the government to ban the activities of the banned groups that are operating with new names in the connivance with the government and the opposition. He said the opposition is under the obligation to fulfil its responsibilities instead of merely polishing their political business.

Meanwhile, the TNFJ committee has been formed to organise programmes for International Ashra Beemar-e-Karbala. Dr. S. Zaman has been nominated as convener while M.D. Haideri will act as its secretary.
