While adopting Hussainiat, the idols of dictatorship and kingship can be shattered into pieces – Hamid Moosavi

Ashura is the day of eternal victory of righteousness over falsehood; the source of courage for all movements of oppressed from Kashmir to Gaza is Karbala; the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (PBUH) is a lesson for the people of all era which is the symbol of Justice and fair play against dictatorship and atheism; no compromise will be made over Azadari, a trust which is laid upon our shoulder by Imam Zain al Abideen and Hazrat Zainab (PBUT) – Message of the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi on Ashura

RAWALPINDI, November 25: The Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi reiterated that while following the path of Hussainiat no compromise will be made on the Azadari which is bestowed upon us by Imam Zain al Abideen and Syeda Zainab (PBUT) because Azadari holds the key of success for the victory of the oppressed over oppressors and it is also the protector of the religion of Mohammad (PBUH & HHP) in every era. From Kashmir to Gaza all movements of oppressed take courage from Hussaini movement. He stated this in his special message on the occasion of Ashura.

Agha Moosavi reminded that Ashura is the day of eternal victory of the righteousness over the falsehood; in the history of the mankind no one is more oppressed then Hussain (PBUH), no tragedy is greater then Karbala and no protest is more effective then Azadari which will be continued regardless of all kinds of dangers; bomb blasts and suicide attacks can not force us to abandon the Path of Hussainiat; mourners should give preference to the grief of Imam Hussain (PBUH) over every thing else and during the day of mourning preference must be given to Azadari and only Azadari. He said that the pious name of the martyr of the right path Imam Hussain (PBUH) in the history of humanity added a new chapter, which not only motivated the hearts of his followers but also astonished the whole of humanity with the greatness of Almighty Allah and his own spiritual power. The honour and dignity of this eternal martyr has a unique status in the world, which will be illuminated till the end of the world. Even today following the path of Hussainiat can devastate oppression, barbarity, dictatorship and kingship.

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that fourteen centuries passed away since the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (PBUH) but the remembrance of this great sacrifice is still alive. The way rays of sun, water from rivers, drops of rain satisfy the need of everyone without any discrimination of colour, creed or religion, similarly the benefits of the battle between the righteousness and falsehood which took place in the plain of Karbala on 10th Muharram 61 AH are reaped in every era by every country, nation and civilization. The martyrdom of Imam Hussain (PBUH) is a lesson for humanity in every era therefore not only Muslims but also people belonging to every faith praise Imam Hussain (PBUH), the son of Imam Ali (PBUH). The martyrdom of Imam Hussain (PBUH) appears to be the symbol of freedom, truth, courage, forbearance, loyalty, justice, fair play, bravery, greatness of character and victory of oppressed against dictatorship, oppression, injustice, wrong doings, breaking ones promises, cheating and atheism.

Agha Moosavi said that Imam Hussain (PBUH), the son of Imam Ali (PBUH) bestowed dignity and honour upon humanity through taking firm stand and accepting martyrdom; hence attained the leadership of humanity. He (PBUH) in the battlefield of Karbala was surrounded by the enemy of freedom, justice, honour and dignity in a same way as gem is fixed in the ring; death was standing like a beast to engulf Imam Hussain (PBUH) and his pious companions; his children and the pious ladies of his household were endangered for being captive by the low of the lowest, barbaric and foolish people. Even though his children were facing thirst and hunger still Imam Hussain (PBUH) was standing firm in the scorching desert of Karbala and addressed the army of Yazid with great courage and daring tone, “ By God I will not forward my hand towards you like a low person neither I will run away from here like a slave. The adopted son of Bani Umayyad made me stand on a path, which leads either to death or accepting humiliation, but I will accept the first condition out of both and will not surrender to you with humiliation; accepting humiliation? Never, never, this kind of response is miles away from our family; there is no place of this kind of response in our lives; with this neither Almighty Allah becomes happy nor the Holy Prophet of Allah (PBUH & HHP) and my pious mother who brought me up on her lap. Neither the honourable and noble people accept this stance because they all are gracious people who will prefer death than bowing down in front of foolish and low people”.

Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi quoted the great German historian Mosio Marbeen who remembered the stand of Imam Hussain (PBUH) in these words, “Hussain Ibne Ali (PBUH) the grandson of the Holy Prophet from his beloved daughter Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) is the only person who some 14 centuries ago single handedly stood steadfast against oppression and barbarity, It was the slogan of Hussain Ibne Ali (PBUH), “I will be murdered on the righteous path but will not give my hand into the hand of falsehood”. Imam Hussain (PBUH) was observing that the government of Umayyad had converted into dictatorship; the values of Islam and the rulings of Almighty Allah were being trampled over and it was possible that the strongest pillars of Islam would be rooted out from their foundation. He paid attention to this matter that if a soft approach was adopted then the signs of Islam and its Sharia would disappear; that is why he (PBUH) made an absolute decision to take a firm stand. The greatest warrior of Islam made it clear to the whole of the world that oppression, barbarity and injustice has no reliability; no matter how much oppression is committed by the oppressive world, it will flow away in the flood of righteousness, but the first condition is that the men of the right path and the brave of the truth and reality must take firm stand to keep truth alive. To conclude he writes, the purpose of Hussain (PBUH) was to stop oppression and barbarity this was his real objective for which he displayed great courage and spirit of sacrifice in a such a way that in the last moment of his life he also sacrificed his six month old baby Ali Asghar (PBUH) on the right path and with this great and courageous stance astonished the elders and philosopher of the world. He offered Islam spirituality, light (nooraneat) and a new lease of life by sacrificing his life and made the Muslim nation pay attention to the real meaning of Islam, that meaning which was almost wiped of from the objectives of Islam; hence the revolution of Hussain (PBUH) became the source and fountain of the Islamic revolutions which are still being carried out.

The Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi quoted another renowned European historian Morris Dokabri who said, “if our historians had known to the reality of Ashura and understood what Ashura was then they would not have seen Azadari as unrealistic. The followers of Imam Hussain (PBUH) know that humility, weakness and colonialism must not be accepted because it is the slogan of their Infallible Imams, “do not bow down in front of oppression and barbarity”. Hussain (PBUH) sacrificed his life and the life of his children for the dignity honour and the status of Islam and humanity but did not accept to live under the unjust and oppressive rule of Yazid. We should also adopt the pious character of Hussain (PBUH) and should get freedom from the clutches of the Yazids of this time and should prefer to live with honour over living in disgrace because dying with honour is better then living in humiliation. Hence that nation who follow these teachings from birth to the grave will have great status and honour; that nation deserves all kind of honour and dignity because in that nation all are the warrior of righteousness, dignity and honour”.

(PBUH & HHP): Peace be upon him and on his holy progeny
