RAWALPINDI, November 17: To pay tributes to the unforgettable sacrifice of the grandson of the Holy Prophet and the beloved son of Ali O Fatima, Hazrat Imam Hussain (PBUH) and his seventy two near and dears, mourning assemblies commenced in Imam Bargahaz and Azakhanaz on Friday throughout the country as well as the twins cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

While addressing to the first mourning assembly at Ali Masjid, Allama Qamar Haider Zaidi said that the Holy Quran is a living miracle for all times and the Holy Progeny of the Prophet (PBUT) made it come true. He said that Karbala is a battlefield of piety against evil where all the companions of Imam Hussain young and old portrayed an absolute example of faith. imam Hussain (PBUH) taught an eternal lesson of protection of the religion of Allah to the coming generation. Karbala was a great battlefield between virtue and falsehood where the protector of righteousness, Imam Hussain Ibn Ali (PBUH) while sacrificing his and the lives of his loved ones provided eternal life to Islam.

While addressing at Imam Bargah Qasr e Abu Talib, Mughal Abad, Allama Hussain Muqadsi said that the beloved son of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) sacrificed his life for Islam and imparted such an everlasting lesson of honour, dignity, patience and forbearance for the people with conscious which if followed can still be helpful to defeat the nefarious tyrants and dictators of any time period.

Allama Syed Matloob Hussain Taqi, while addressing to a mourning assembly arranged by Dr. Shahab Rizvi at Darbar Sakhi Shah Payara Choharr Harpal, said that it is because of the sacrifices made by Imam Hussain (PBUH), Hussainiat has become the integral part of everyone’s life and peaceful remonstration of Hussaniat is a shield of protection for the poor, oppressed and the destitute people of the world even today. The participants of the mourning assembly unanimously approved a resolution in which determination was expressed to follow Zabta e Azadari (Code of Azadari) and maximum participation in the mourning processions of Imam e Mazloom (PBUH). It was also pledged in the resolution that the mourning of Imam Hussain (PBUH) will be observed without any fear or hesitation and no compromise will be accepted in this connection.

Allama Muhammad Kazim Raza Turabi while addressing to a mourning assembly at Darbar Sakhi Shah Peyara said that to keep the pious people of Allah on the righteous path and protect them from going astray, Imam Aali Maqaam (PBUH) wrote such an everlasting constitution with his blood which shows the path of salvation to every individual.

While addressing to the first mourning assembly of Muharram ul Haram at Jinnah Reading Room Landa Bazaar, Allama Sheikh Ijaz Hussain Mudaris said that Karbala is the teaching of patience against oppression, and its practice is the death of every oppressor and tyrant. Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, while addressing at Qasr e Khadija tul Kurbara Tarlai Kalaan, said that when cursed Yazid enthroned the seat of Islamic government and started mockery of the sacred teachings of Islam, at that time Hussain Ibn Ali (PBUH) refused to take the oath of allegiance to cursed Yazid and exposed off the falsehood of Yazid’s intention by presenting his life and gave eternity to the reality of Islam.
