“Day of Supplications” will be observed today throughout the country on the call of TNFJ

Supplications will be made for rooting out of terrorism, establishment of peace, elevation of the dignity of the Islamic world and sovereignty and fortification of the motherland; the chief justice should form a high-level tribunal to probe into all the incidents of terrorism including of Kohistan – Dr S Zaman

RAWALPINDI, March 9: A meeting of TNFJ’s committee of the “Day of Supplications” was held at the headquarters of the Maktab e Tasheyo which was presided over by the convener of the committee Dr S Zaman. In the meeting programmes in connection with the “Day of Supplications” (Youm e Dua), which will be held across the country on Friday 9th March as per the directives of the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, were reviewed.

The secretary of the committee Syed Asad Ali Hassani informed the participants of the meeting that the “Day of Supplications” will commence with the recitation of the Holy Quran in the mosques after the Fajr prayers and special prayers will also be held in remembrance of the martyrs and those who departed from us recently. In the Jamia Masajids of the federal capital of Islamabad and across the country, Ulmae Karam and Waizeen will, during the sermons of the Friday prayers, make special supplications for rooting out of terrorism, establishing of peace, elevation of the dignity of the Islamic world and sovereignty and fortification of the motherland. On this occasion a voice of protest will be raised against oppression, barbarity and loss of scores of innocent lives due to terrorism.

Dr S Zaman while addressing to the participants of the meeting said that taking notice of every important issue by the Chief Justice of Pakistan is an excellent step but in Balouchistan and Khyber Pakhtoon Kha the innocent public is being targeted by bomb blast suicide attacks and target killings which have become the norm, so why does he not take notice of this matter? He made an appeal to the Chief Justice that in order to probe into all the incidents of terrorism including Kohistan, a high level tribunal consisting of Judges of all the provinces should be formed, so that the culprits of these heinous crimes may be brought to justice while fulfilling the norm of justice and fair play. He queried how long the public would have to bear the loss of their loved ones; the only thing that will heal their wounds is the giving of exemplary punishments to the terrorists.

Dr S Zaman said that establishments of councils in the name of defence will further push the nation and the motherland towards sectarianism and is equivalent to inviting death that will only strengthen the cause of the enemy. He reminded the 30 years’ stance of the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, which today every body is reiterating, that in Pakistan there is no issue of sectarianism and neither any body will be allowed to cause one. He demanded from the government to provide fail-safe security throughout the country to the programmes of Youm e Dua – the “Day of Supplication” on the Friday 9th March.
