ISLAMABAD, July 11: Acting upon the footsteps of Hazrat Zainab Binte Ali (PBUH), Mather e Millat (mother of the nation), the sister and steadfast companion of the Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah transformed into a defending wall against Ayub Khan’s dictatorship and conspiracies against Pakistan. Had she survived for long, Pakistan would not have broken into two pieces. These thoughts were expressed by the renowned Islamic scholar Syeda Bintal Huda while addressing to a Majlis e Tarheem on the occasion of the death anniversary of Madar e Millat Fatima Jinnah, that was held under the auspices of Anjuman Dukhtaran e Islam and Ummul Banin WF at Jamia tul Murtaza G-9/4 Islamabad. She said that Quaid e Azam used to love her sister so much that he used to say that “whenever I arrive home, Fatima Jinnah is there as a ray of hope for me”. Had not Fatima accompanied me, the problems and issues would have deteriorated my health even more”. She said that Fatima Jinnah was influenced with the pious and prudent characters of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) and Hazrat Zainab Binte Ali (PBUH), she participated in the struggle of Pakistan alongside Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and remained involved in the struggle for the rights of women and poor Pakistanis even after the creation of Pakistan. However, after the enforcement of the Martial Law, compromises started on the interests of Pakistan, human rights violations erupted, and the water of Pakistani rivers was sold, Fatima Jinnah rose as the voice of millions of Pakistani people and shook the courts of dictatorship. While addressing to the Majlis e Tarheem, Syeda Khizran Moosavi said that the dictator lost even after winning the elections through rigging while the role of Fatima Jinnah to protect her beloved homeland and people will always remain alive. Her voice will always be a source of courage for all the patriotic people of Pakistan. Syeda Khizran Moosavi further said that the women must take lesson from the life of Fatima Jinnah and while staying in the jurisdiction of Islam; they must play their role to serve Islam and Pakistan. On this occasion, Aapa Syeda Hussain, and Zahra Naqvi also addressed the Majlis while Raeesa tul Huffaz Syeda Zainab Alviya offered final dua.
