Government has failed to protect its citizens, Balouchistan is burning, Chief Justice must take immediate notice of the situation - Hamid Moosavi

Supremem Court’s suo moto notice of Karachi’s situation is commendable, the implementation of the Court’s verdict is the responsibility of the government. Government, its allies, and the so called Islamic organizations have been exposed.

Every house is mourning; the activities of banned organizations are posing serious threats. Presence of banned organizations in the APC is a food for thought. There has been no issue of sectarianism in Pakistan, the conspiracies hatched by the enemies of Pakistan will always be thwarted.  Message to the Mukhtar Lawyers Forum

RAWALPINDI, October 9: The Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that the suo-moto notice of Karachi’s situation by the Supreme Court is much appreciated. The Supreme Court has exposed the government, its allies, and the so called Islamic parties. The activities of banned organizations are dangerous while they are equally supported by the government and the opposition parties. Balouchistan that constitutes the forty three percent of the whole Pakistan’s geographical area and is also the source of valuable gold and diamonds, is burning and awaiting the attention of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary therefore, the Chief Justice must pay back to the soil of Balochistan. He said that the restoration of the Judiciary is the result of untiring efforts and countless sacrifices of the people of Pakistan. Now the people of Pakistan are demanding from the Supreme Court to take notice of the terrorism happening throughout the country including Balouchistan, and expose the secret hands behind the menace of terrorism. Although the enemies of Pakistan are trying to portray terrorism as sectarianism however all their conspiracies will be thwarted as there is no sectarian conflict in Pakistan. He said this in his message to the annual meeting of Mukhtar Lawyers Forum. He said that the very reason of the emergence of the Prophets of God was to establish justice, by rooting out the oppression and brutality while the holy Quran stands witness to the fact that Islam has always preached to maintain balance in every aspect of life. Therefore, it is ordered in the Chapter Maaida of the holy Quran, O Prophet, whenever you give a verdict, it must be based upon justice and fairness. Similarly it is mentioned in Chapter Shura of the holy Quran, I (The holy Prophet SAAW), have been ordered to give verdict with justice. Agha Moosavi said that the Islamic code of life is based upon justice, may it be matters related to worship, economy, or politics, we have been instructed to maintain balance in every aspect of our lives. Today, the conflicts prevailing throughout the world are the results of absence of justice and fair play. He said that as the basic foundation of Pakistan was the Islamic ideology and it is also considered as the fort of Islam, therefore, the enemies had decided to deviate it from the path of justice and balance from the day of its inception. Though the founder of Pakistan Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had clearly announced that Justice and fair play will be the guiding principals of Pakistan however, the evil forces got succeeded in their plans and by deviating it from the way of Justice, they separated one of our part in 1971, while the rest was targeted by the Zia ul Haq as he attacked the democracy, and nurtured nepotism which is the very reason that every city of Pakistan is wounded today, every house in Pakistan is mourning and every single person is astonished about continuously worsening situation. He said that during the government of Nawaz Shareef, the then Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah took the suo moto notice of terrorism in response to which, TNFJ presented a comprehensive eight hundred pages peace formula which was not only appreciated by the Supreme Court but was also proved to be a guideline for the formulation of the Anti-terrorism Act by the later governments and led to the imposition of ban on 26 organizations in the country. However, it is yet to be realized that what exactly is the government and opposition parties mean by the banned organizations. As these organizations have been openly operating and enjoy friendly relations with the government and opposition parties while some of those banned groups were also invited in the APC which certainly is a food for thought. Agha Moosavi said that for the last several years, we have been demanding from the Judiciary to take notice of the bloodshed in the streets and towns of Pakistan. Finally, the Supreme Court has taken notice of the Karachi’s situation and while staying within its limits, it has given a historic verdict that is commendable. He said that judiciary has played its part because it could only give a verdict, while to have that verdict implemented and complied is the job of the government. Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that five to six thousand innocent lives have been lost during the last three years of terrorism in Karachi while countless have been wounded. Verdict of the Supreme Court has exposed the government, its allies, and the so called Islamic parties. He said that the judiciary has made it clear that the government has failed to protect the citizens. Now the question that arises here is that how would a failed government ensure the implementation of the Supreme Court’s verdict? Testing someone who is already tested is nothing but vain. He said that who could guarantee that the twenty six banned organizations as well as other five or six which have been pointed out by the Judiciary will not commit further acts of terrorism in future? If they still perform the acts of terrorism, what punishment has been decided for them by the Supreme Court? Are such kinds of parties eligible to nominate their candidates in the next election? And what will be the next step of the Judiciary if the government does not implement the Court’s verdict? Agha Moosavi said that the Supreme Court must also take notice of all the tragic incidents of terrorism since the era of Zia ul Haq to this day which targeted innocent people from different, provinces, schools of thought, and also attacked the educational institutes, Mosques and Imambargahs. He said that secret agencies have revealed that a foreign hand is involved in the matters of Balouchistan, while the interior minister also keeps reiterating the same stance, but neither they tell the name of that foreign country nor they protest against it. He said that more than five hundred members of Hazara Community have lost their lives because of the terrorism, excluding several hundred who have been wounded however, no one ever paid them any consolation amount, nor anyone expressed sympathies with them. Agha Moosavi clarified that there is absolutely no sectarian conflict in Pakistan and it will never be allowed to exist while the conspiracies of the enemies of Pakistan will always be thwarted. He said that the soil of Balochistan possesses a right over the chief justice and we are confident that Chief Justice will never disappoint the people of Balochistan because he is a good man. Agha Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi clarified that if we are sincere to take Pakistan to the heights of glory, then we will have to ensure the implementation of law and justice in the letter and spirit. He said that the Supreme Court has given its verdict, now it is the job of the government to set aside its personal interests and respect the Court’s verdict to protect the city of Karachi which is also the jugular vein of our economy. All the “No Go” areas of Karachi must be cleared, illegitimate calls for strikes must be stopped, the kidnapped or lost officers and men must be rescued, illegal arms must be captured and confiscated from across the city, redefinition of the boundaries of the areas must be done on the basis of equality, victims of the terrorism must be paid consolation amounts, the menace of illegitimate fines and target killings must be stopped while the terrorism must be rooted out so that our beloved homeland Pakistan could proceed and progress on the way of peace and prosperity and a practical strategy could also be formulated in favor of the unity and solidarity of the people of Pakistan.
