Majalis e Aza e Fatimiya held in Islamabad & Rawalpindi; Increase in prices of petroleum products is a cause of great concern; Destruction of Mosques in Bahrain is strongly condemned

ISLAMABAD, May 02: On the occasion of the death anniversary of the daughter of Holy Prophet (pbuh), wife of Amir ul Momneen, Mother of Husnain (pbut) and the Lady of the Heavens Hazrat Fatima Zehra (pbuh),  programs of Aalmi Ashra e Aza e Fatimiya continued all over the world Including Pakistan. Majalis were held in different Imam Bargahs, Aza Khanaz and Hussainiaat of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Scholars, while addressing the gatherings, highlighted the pious personality of Hazrat Fatima (pbuh).

While addressing a majlis in Jamia Wali’ul Asar Lehtrar Road Islamabad the principle of the Jamia Hujjat ul Islam Allama Basharat Hussain Imami said that the history of human beings is full of great achievements by men as well as women which has left a great impact on human history from which humanity is still benefitting. Hazrat Fatima Zahra (pbuh) is the symbol of dignity and respect that Islam has provided to women. In a society where daughters were buried alive, the respect given by the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) by standing in his daughter’s regard is an example which has given women respect and grace.

While addressing the Majlis, District Leader of TNFJ, Prof Ghulam Abbas Haidery said that women had played a vital and unforgettable role in preaching & spreading Islam. Ummul Momneen Hazrat Khadeeja tul Kubra (pbuh) supported and gave financial help to the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp), Hazrat Fatima (pbuh) helped her father in the Prophethood, spread Wilayat e Ali (pbuh) and defended women’s rights while Hazrat Zainab Bint e Ali (pbuh), being co-partner of Imam Hussain (pbuh), played her role in defending the cause of Imam Hussain (pbuh) to save the hard work done by Prophets of Allah for the Monotheism, Prophethood and Wilayat. Zakir Naveed Hussain and students of Jamia also addressed.

Allama Guftar Hussain Sadiqi addressed in Jafariya Mosque I-9 Islamabad. Ladies Majlis was held in Jamia tul Murtaza in which Mrs. Asad Gillani and Zakira Kaniz Zainab addressed.

In Rawalpindi a majlis was held by Hayeat Tulbae Islamia in Ali Hall Rawalpindi. Mufti Basim Zahiri, while addressing this majlis, said that to prove the rightness of Islam the pious members of the Holy Family of the Holy Prophet (pbut) had done great work and by acting on their teachings the world can be free from all evils and can become a hub of peace. He said that Hazrat Fatima Zehra (pbuh) as a  daughter was the successor to the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp), as a life partner was part of Imamat and being mother of all Imams was the sum of all their qualities. He said that Hazrat Fatima (pbuh) is a role model for all women throughout history and into the future. Chaudhari Salman Mohammadi, Ali Zaib Kazmi and Amir Bukhari also addressed the majlis.  

Majlis was also held in Masjid Kazmiya Westridge. On this occasion resolutions were passed in which great concern was shown at the increase in petroleum prices by saying that it is equivalent to breaking the backbone of the people. In another resolution terrorism in the country and target killing was strongly condemned and an appeal made to follow the Moosavi peace formula. In a resolution, it was said that the destruction of dozens of Mosques and Imam Bargahs in Egypt, Libya and Yemen is part of a conspiracy by the colonial powers which is designed to destroy unity amongst Muslims. In another resolution, the end of insurgence in Libya and evacuation of occupied forces from Iraq and Afghanistan was demanded.
