Putting the country’s economy on the path of prosperity is not possible unless the problems faced by the labourers, and poor sections of society are resolved – Hamid Moosavi

Rulers and leaders of the country are busy in prolonging or gaining power while life for the poor people have become unbearable

All over the world, exploitation of the labourers is continued; deprived sections of the society can get their rights by joining hands under the banner of Islam – message of the Quaid e Millat on May Day

RAWALPINDI, May 1: The Quaid e Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that putting the country’s economy on the path of prosperity is not possible unless the problems faced by the labourers, and poor sections of society are resolved amicably, he said that the government, opposition and all patriotic forces would have to utilise all their energies to save the labourers’ mother city Karachi from being dismantled. These views were expressed by him in his message on the International Labour Day.

Agha Moosavi said even today the labourers and poor are being victimised, feudal system is an open fraud in which the rich is becoming richer and the poor is becoming deprived of meeting both ends meet despite extraordinary labour. Banks become bankrupt and millions of labourers become jobless on a slight orientation of a few Zionist multi-national companies who have encroached upon the world resources and the world has witnessed all this during the recent years. He said that Islam bestowed dignity on labourers and deprived of the society. Islam is the universal religion that condemns begging and has showered blessings on those who earn their livelihood in righteous way; he said that Islam has declared nine out of ten benefits of livelihood in trade.

The TNFJ chief said the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) used to raise up goat for his livelyhood, companions of the Holy Prophet also remained involved in labour while Maula e Kainaat Hazrat Ali Ibn e Abi Talib (pbuh) used to work in Jew's garden. He said the Chicago labourers who got their right of working for eight hours in 1886, is in line with the formula by Maula e Kainaat Hazrat Ali Ibn e Abi Talib (pbuh) i.e. to work for eight hours, rest for eight hours, and give the remaining eight hours to society, presented 1400 years ago and that provides a strong basis for a stable, economically viable and welfare society. He said the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp), Hazrat Fatima Zahra (pbuh) herself used to grind flour while other chores were performed by her Kaneez, Hazrat Fizza (R.A). This treatment with Kaneezan and labourers could not be witnessed in any other religion, he added. He said there should be no shyness in doing labour, shyness should be in begging. Islam has termed the hand above better than the hand below, he added.

The Quaid e Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi lamented that rulers and leaders of the country were busy in prolonging power and saving the chair while life for the poor people have become difficult. Industry and factories are at a standstill as a result of which poor people are facing misery. He made it clear that no industry or factory could progress and no country or the nation could achieve prosperity unless problems of the labour class are resolved and their miseries are diminished. Only those nations achieved economic development who gave rights to the have-nots, he added. He said if motherland Pakistan is desires to correct her economic and financial conditions then the rulers will have to stop begging and resolve the problems of the labourers on priority.
