Released by  Ume Farwa Saeed Spokeswoman UBWF; Translated by Zulqurnain Haider

ISLAMABAD, March 27: “The audacious act of the burning of the Holy Quran by an American priest is a declaration of war against international peace and an open challenge to all the religions, thus Muslim Umma should demonstrate sensibility and unite to take practical steps against it”. It was said by re known scholar and Khateeba e Aal e Nabi , Syeda Bint e Ali Moosvi, while addressing an assembly organized by Anjuman Dukhtaran e Islam, UBWF, Sakina Generation and Girl Guides; patronized by Mohterma Masbah Awan at Jamia tul Murtaza G-9/4 Islamabad in which thousands of women participated. On this occasion a voice of protest was raised against the accursed priest who burnt the copy of the Holy Quran.

While addressing on the topic “Ita’et E Khuda, Rasool aur Ollilamr (“Submission to Allah, his prophet and the one who has been nominated a ruler by Allah on humanity”) she highlighted that the Holy Quran is a source of Divine teachings whose guidance cannot be undermined by anyone. Quran demands we obey Allah, His Messenger and Ollilamr (Surah Nisa 4:58) and this is the real essence of the creation of the mankind. She argues that the main cause of the problems facing the whole of humanity, especially the Muslims nation, is deviation from the teachings of the Holy Quran, the sayings of the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) and disobeying the Guides of the religion of Islam. That is the reason that, in spite of holding all worldly resources and facilities, they are deprived of satisfaction and contentment.

She reminded all that if the Muslim nation had been seen to punish Salman Rushdie for his evil acts of blasphemy, Babari Mosque would have never been demolished, Jews could have never occupied Bait Ul Muqadas and the American priest would never have  dared to burn the copy of the Holy Quran.  She demanded from the International Organizations that they should fulfill their responsibilities to prevent the evil powers insulting Islam, the holy prophet of Islam, divine books and all the religions.

She also demanded from the government to take concrete steps to stop continued terrorist activities in the country. She highly condemned the continuous target killings in Karachi, drone attacks in the northern areas, brutal killings of 15 innocent people and the kidnapping of 45 as a result of an attack on the coach destined for Parachanar.  She said that the government should take practical steps to solve the problems instead of presenting speculative assumptions. She stressed that those who take the life of innocent people are the enemies of humanity and can never be the well-wishers of Pakistan. Thus the government must fulfill its responsibility to protect the citizens.

She demanded from the government to keep an eye on Raymond Davis - like terrorists who have entered into every city of Pakistan. She said that those who previously protested against Raymond Davis are answerable to the people as to why they are having reconciliatory meetings with American ambassador. She argued that any Muslim country gets involved in attacking another Muslim country on behalf of America will have to meet the worse consequences. She said that this time Muslim countries have become the agent of the colonial powers and are equally involved in oppression in Tunisia, Yemen, and Bahrain, ignoring the plight of the persecuted subjects, which in itself is a great tyranny. On the other hand the hypocritical standards of International organizations are food for thought and a lesson for the Muslim rulers. If they fail to set themselves free from international colonialism, the time is not far when America will grab them in her imperialistic grip.

On the same occasion in the presented resolution, the reformation of Islamic Ideology Council was considered unsatisfactory and a reminder was given that the government has not done justice in this regard. It was also demanded in the resolution that all the schools of thought should be given the opportunity of the headship of all the Islamic governmental institutions consecutively and members of these institutions must be inducted from the representative organizations of the recognized schools of thought or otherwise they will be considered representatives of the government and not of
