RAWALPINDI, March 12: “For stemming out terrorism and the establishment of durable peace in the county, it is inevitable for the government to take emergency actions and in this connection it should fulfill its duties or else it has no right to govern the country”. This was expressed by the Ullema and Khateebs during the Friday sermons in the mosques of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and their out skirts. In the sermons it was demanded from the government that it must take concrete measures to stop new wave of target killings in Karachi and arrest the criminals involved in the recent terrorist attacks of Faisalabad and Peshawar.

Additional secretary of TNFJ Pakistan, Syed Shujjat Ali Bukhari while addressing the meeting at the headquarter Maktab e Tashayyo said that the recent incidents of terrorism, continued suicide attacks and bomb blasting in Karachi and other areas of Pakistan are the deception of the foes of the country, who are using their heinous acts to please their masters inside and outside the country.  He said that suicide attack during Namaz e Janaza can never be the act of a Muslim. It is the act of our ‘arch enemy’ and international imperialist powers who never tolerated the ideological basis of Pakistan and her position being Atomic Power. Shujjat Bukhari emphasized that government should avoid political tug of war and pay attention on the security issues. He said that government should take concrete measures to break the terrorist network instead of making coalitions with them and these banned groups ought to be treated according to the Anti-terrorism Act.

Addressing to thousands of people at Jamia Mosque Sakhi Shah Piyara Kazmi Al Mash’hadi, Imam e Jumma wal Jamat, Allama Syed Matloob Hussain Taqi approved a resolution in which the inclusion of people from banned organizations in Islamic Ideology Council (IIC) was highly condemned and demanded from the government that instead of favoritism, the real representatives of recognized schools of thought should be included in IIC. Moreover, all the schools of thought interchangeably should be given opportunity of the headship of all the major institutes of Pakistan. Maktab e Tashayyo should also be given ideological representation in these institutions on the basis of equality.

Sermons at Shia Jamia Masjid Darbar Shah Chan Charagh, Jamia Masjid Qasr E Abu Talib, Jamia Masjid Jafariya Islamabad, Jamia Masjid Qasr E Khadeeja Kubra Tarla’i Kalaan, Jamia Masjid Ahlal Bait Wah cantt, Jamia Masjid Qasr E Imam Musa Kazim (SA); addressed by Allama Sajjad Hussain Gardezi, Allama Mohsin Ali Hamdani, Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, Allama Syed Hussain Muqadsi, Allama Sadiqi and other Ullema highly condemned the terrorist activities and target killing throughout the country and criticized government for not giving ideological representation to Maktab e Tasheyyo in ICC and for having contact with banned groups and demanded from the government to change its attitude of favoritism and to contact with actual representatives of recognized school of thoughts.
