Martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa Al Kazim (pbuh) will be observed today with great respect and religious zeal.

Captive Imam of Baghdad turned the prisons into places of worship; on the second day of Ayyam e Babul Hawaej, Syed Qamar Zaidi, Zainab Alviya, Mufti Basim and others addressed to the majalis

 RAWALPINDI, June 28: As per the announcement of the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Musa Al Kazim (pbuh), the seventh heir of the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp), will be observed on Tuesday throughout the country and worldwide. On this occasion programmes of majalis and matami processions will be held in small and big cities and towns of the country.  Dr S M Rizvi the convener of the TNFJ’s committee of Aalmi Ayyam e Babul Hawaej demanded from the government to take special securities measures throughout the country during programmes of majalis and matami processions. Mean while programmes of majalis and matami processions in connection with Ayyam e Babul Hawaej were continued on Monday. Different religious and matami organizations of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad held programmes in which special prayers were made for the sovereignty, security and prosperity of Pakistan and for the elevation of the Islamic world.

Under the auspices of Matami Tanzeem Al-Hussain, matami procession was brought out from the residence of Bawa Syed Najam Hussain Shah Kazmi which was culminated at Imam Bargah Qasr e Shabir (pbuh) after passing through its designated route in which several matami organizations of Rawalpindi district participated and recited Nohas and performed Matamdari. Prior to the procession Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi while addressing to the majlis, said that Hazrat Imam Mousa Al Kazim (pbuh) in his knowledge, honour, dignity, courage and bravery, was the true inheritor of his father Imam Jaffar Al Sadiq (pbuh). He was the most learned and generous person of his time, his literary composition “masnid e Mousa Kazim” remains popular; residents of Madina called him Abd e Sa’aleh. Allama Zaidi said that the most part of his life was spent in captivity; the tyrant ruler was always looking for some excuse so that he may execute him, for this purpose he appointed a very harsh and tyrant guard who was especially directed to find any proof to defame the pious character, piety and dignity of the Imam (pbuh) but every guard after observing his piety become his devotee. Allama Zaidi demanded from the government to take special security measures during majalis and matami processions which are being held throughout the country to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa Al Kazim (pbuh) on 25th Rajab, the concluding day of Ayyam e Babul Hawaej.

A majlis e Babul Hawaej was held under the auspices of Anjuman Kaneezan e Imam ul ASR wal Zaman (pbuh) at Shoab e Abi Talib (pbuh). Mohtarma Syeda Zainab Alviya while addressing to the majlis said that tyrant ruler kept replacing guards but it was the miracle of the pious personality of Imam Musa Al Kazim that guards which were appointed by the tyrants to cause oppression and brutality upon him used to get impressed and frightened of Imam (pbuh), therefore Imam Musa al Kazim (pbuh) was administered a poison by the cursed person named Sundi Bin Shahaq.   She said that the severity of the oppression on the captive of Baghdad Imam Musa Al Kazim can be judged from the fact that after his martyrdom, his chains were removed and four workers were asked to pick his body and left it on the bridge of Baghdad. She said that Shaheed e Zindaan Imam Musa Al Kazim (pbuh) accepted martyrdom but did not bow down on front of the tyrant rulers. Syeda Zainab Alviya said that Imam (pbuh) spent his prime age in captivity and turned the prisons into places of worship, whose pious character is a beacon of light for the oppressed nations of all times.

Hayeat Tulbae Islamia held a majlis of Ayyam e Babul Hawaej at Ali Hall, Mufti Basim Abbas Zahiri while addressing to the majlis said that fifty five years of life span of Imam Musa Al Kazim (pbuh) is full of courage, bravery, determination and steadfastness. Dictators and oppressors of his time tried every tactic in the book but could not bow him down. Due to this, he had to accept imprisonment, oppression and barbarity at the hands of the tyrant rulers with great patience, and proved that offering life in the way of Allah, for the protection of the religion and to dignify humanity is a way of life for the courageous supporters of truth. In their books, martyrdom is interpreted as eternal life for which they are always ready, believing martyrdom to be the pinnacle of worship.
