RAWALPINDI, January 21:  Programmes of Majalis and matami processions in connection with  Hafta e Aseeran e Karbala as announced by The Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi continued in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad like other parts of the country. Majalis and matamdari were held at different Imam Bargahs and Aza Khanaz.

Markazi procession in connection with fortieth of martyrs of Karbala was taken out from Qasr e Shabir (pbuh) Dhok Syedaan in which great numbers of azadars participated and took part in recitation of elegies (noha khani) as well as in matamdari. During procession in dhok Syedaan Choak (square) Zanjeer zani was performed with great zeal and on this occasion Ibrahim Scouts setup medical camp to facilitate the zanjeer zans. Matami Procession after following its designated route concluded in Imam Bargah Qasr e Shabir.

Before matami procession, majlis was held in the same Imam Bargah where Ulema O Zakireen and Waizeen highlighted the aim of martyrdom of Imam Hussain (pbuh) and threw light on the steadiness, patience, courage, bravery and sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Zainab, Imam Sajjad and other captives of Karbala (pbut).

Majlis was held at the residence of salaar of matami Dasta Shah Chan Charagh, Irfan Kazmi, situated at Dhok Syedaan where Allama Qamar Zaidi while addressing majlis, described philosophy behind the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (pbuh) and calamities faced by the captives of Karbala (pbut).  He said that for the propagation of the message of Hussainiat, the great struggle of captives of Karbala (pbut) during bazaars and the courts of Kufa o Shaam is a source of inspiration for the people of all eras to stand fast against any form of oppression.

He said that Imam Hussain (pbuh) gave the ultimate sacrifice to save the pious mission, while after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (pbuh), the captives of Karbala (pbut) propagated and forwarded same pious objectives with great care. He said that if the Muslim Nation wants to protect human values and fly high the flag of Monotheism then it should prepare itself to follow the footsteps of the captives of the Karbala (pbut).

Moulana Malik Ijlal Haider al Haidery, Zakir Mujtaba Mubarak and Sheikh Wasim Abbas also addressed the majlis. Participants of the majlis restated the resolution, that peaceful protest against oppression and brutality in the form of azadari will be carried on until the reappearance of Imam e Zaman (atf) whilst following the strict code of azadari issued by the Quaid e Millat e Jaffariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi. It was also demanded that the Govt put aside all political conveniences in order to take concrete steps for routing out of terrorism.

Majlis was also held at Imam Bargah Jamia tul Murtaza G-9/4 Islamabad under the auspices of Anjuman Dukhtaran e Islam. Khateeba Khanam Qamar Zahra while addressing the majlis said that the colonial powers are afraid of the message of Hussainiat which is the real spirit of Islam.

 She said that on the plain of Karbala, the grandson of the Holy Prophet together with his sons and fellow companions sacrificed their lives to provide a fresh impetus to Islam, while Zainab Bint e Ali (pbuh) and Hazrat Zain al Abidin (pbuh) chained and in captivity, provided eternity to the Hussainiat through their elegant and eloquent addresses and proved that no worldly power can ever harm Islam.

Majlis was also held at Imam Bargah Zain al Abidin (pbuh), where Moulana Waqar Hussain Qumi as well as Mufti Basim Abbas Zahiri and others addressed the majlis. To conclude the majlis matamdari was performed.
