RAWALPINDI, February 25: Meeting of TNFJ’s Central Youm e Tarheem Committee was held to review the arrangements for the programs of Youm e Tarheem, announced by Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi to pay homage to all the Momineen and Muslimeen martyred in various instances of terrorism during the mourning period of 1st Moharram – 8th Rabi Ul Awwal.  Dr. S Zaman Convener for the Central Youm e Tarheem Committee presided over the meeting.  Members of Youm e Tarheem Committees for Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, along with the five provinces attended the meeting.

Dr. S Zaman, while addressing the meeting, said that the programs of Youm e Tarheem will commence on Friday at mosques, with the recitation of the Holy Quran after Fajar prayers.  He said that speakers, throughout the country, will explore the philosophy of life and death at Central Mosques during the Jumma gatherings and pay their respect and homage to the martyrs.

Dr. S Zaman made it clear that humans are created as superior beings due to their ability to make decisions and carry out actions.  He stressed that the greater the cause, the greater the sacrifice.  He emphasised that obedience to ALLAH is not limited to prayers and fasting, rather everything in accordance with Islam is equivalent to worship.

He said that life without a cause is worse than death while those martyred in the name of Islam in various instances of terrorism during the mourning period of Muharram to Safar have eternal life and are a role model for humanity.  He said that members of the security forces martyred while performing their duties are national heroes and we, as a grateful nation, share the sorrow with the affected families.

Dr. S Zaman demanded the government to take concrete steps to root out terrorism and to bring the culprits of terrorist activities to justice.  A resolution was adopted by the participants demanding the government to adopt consistent policies and to take brave steps in order to maintain sovereignty of the country.  Participants urged the government to make foolproof security arrangements throughout the country, for the programs of Youm e Tarheem.
