RAWALPINDI, February 24: For the elevation of the status of all the faithful who either died or received martyrdom in different terrorist attacks from 1st of Muharram till 8th Rabiul Awwal, Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi announced a country wide Youm e Tarheem which will be observed on Friday, February 25th. On this occasion mourning assemblies and Quranic recitations will be carried out in the Mosques and Imam Bargahs throughout the country.

While issuing the statement from the Headquarter Maktab e Tasheyyo, Aqae Mousavi said that beliefs on the Day of Judgment are the fundamental s of Islam therefore one must have the faith to believe that everyone will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment and will be rewarded or punished according to their faith and their deeds.

He said that a faithful person keeps death precious over everything. Allah has said in the Quran “If you pride yourself in being a friend of Allah, desire death to show that you are true in your claim”.

Aqae Mousavi stressed that pious people are not afraid of their mortality yet it does not mean that if they are unhappy with their plight that they should commit suicide, as suicide is strictly forbidden. The faithful should always be thankful to Allah as long as they are alive because they are being provided with maximum chances to denounce and seek forgiveness for their sins and to do more virtuous deeds.

“Keeping death as friend means that one accepts the Supreme Will of Allah and when He sends death, one should consider it as a gift from Him because the pious and faithful will embrace the benefits and advantages of death, whilst for the sinful and immoral death will be an opportunity to remove them from further wrong doings and sins and thus lessen the punishment” Aqae Mousavi said.

He also said that in the same way a long life and delay in death should also be considered as Supreme Will so that one can make the best preparation for the journey of life hereafter. He emphasized that when someone has died the good actions carried out on their behalf will prove beneficial for the deceased.

In several Hadith it is mentioned that anyone who does anything virtuous for his deceased (praying, fasting, performing pilgrimage, giving charity or organizing the assemblies of Quranic recitation), its reward is sent to the deceased. Hazrat Imam Jaffar Sadiq (AS) says that sometimes the deceased is given relief in the grave because of these actions and Allah orders an angel to go into the grave of the deceased in the company of seventy thousand angels, each of them carrying a tray of blessing and they say to the deceased “O the slave of Allah (may Allah send peace upon you), so and so has dedicated this for you” and the whole grave glows with the divine light.  Allah also rewards him with one thousand cities in paradise. That is why the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) has said, “You must dedicate charities for your deceased”. One of the companions questioned him about what to dedicate, Holy Prophet replied “Prayers and supplications”. The Holy Prophet explained it further that on every Friday night the souls of the faithful people come on earth’s celestial and cry with gloom and sorrow and appeal in these words, “ O my family, my father, mother and my relatives do this favor upon us and Allah will send his favor upon you. If you provide clothes, food and money to the needy on our behalf, Allah will give you the blessings of paradise”. That is the reason it is said to show mercy to others so that you should have mercy.

Quaid E Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi said that today the whole of humanity has fallen into difficulties and problems just because of weak faith and a less practical approach. He emphasized that this world is temporary and unfaithful. “Who else can live forever when the holy prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) is not among us? It is therefore mandatory upon everyone to observe the Youm e Tarheem for the elevation of all the martyred of Deen e Islam and Pakistan and for all the Momneen and Muslimeen who are no longer amongst us, without any discrimination, so that we can also make our end (life hereafter) better”.  On this occasion prayer should be made for the elevation of the Islamic world, strength and development of the beloved country and for the rights of the oppressed.
