The gory murder of Police surgeon Dr Baqir Shah in Quetta is due to the incompetence of the government - TNFJ

The continued terrorism and target killings are due to standing against the colonial powers; long term peace cannot be established unless banned groups are forced to cease operating – Spokesman

RAWALPINDI, December 31: The central Spokesman of TNFJ condemned the gory murder of the principal witness of the tragedy of Kharota Abad, Surgeon Dr Syed Baqir Shah and demanded from the government to take concrete steps to stop target killings in Quetta and Karachi. In the statement issued from the headquarters of the Maktab e Tasheyo the spokesman said that Pakistan is being punished for blocking supply routes to NATO because of the public’s anger in the aftermath of the attack on Salala Check post by NATO forces; demanding that Shamsi airbase be vacated by the Americans and Pakistan’s rejection of the outcome of the American investigation into the said attack. Alas! If we had initially followed a bold policy against these powers, then we would not now have to fulfil their increasing demands.

The spokesman of TNFJ declared that the murder of the police surgeon Dr Syed Baqir Shah shows Government incompetence and therefore an FIR should be filed against the government of Baluchistan. He said that the people of Quetta are so scared that they are forced to flee the country; the recent deaths in Indonesia of people fleeing Balouchistan is a prime example of the desperation to leave the country. He said that those rulers who cannot protect their public have no legitimate right to govern the land. The spokesman said that until the banned groups are forced to cease their operation the realization of long term peace cannot be visualized, therefore rulers and politicians should adopt the wise policy to stop protecting these banned groups. He said that whilst huge political gatherings are concluded safely, the innocent public is being massacred whilst going about their everyday routines, which is food for thought.

In Karachi, the cold approach taken by the government on the target killing of the chief scout of Sajadia Scouts, Naear Abbas and the gory murder of two innocent scouts during Moharram at the hands of terrorists was condemned and it was also demanded from the government to bring to justice those responsible for the target killings in Karachi and Quetta. Further, the public should be relieved from the price hikes, power cuts of and from the unrest.
