RAWALPINDI, December 4: To pay tributes to the martyrs of Karbala for their remarkable and unique sacrifice for the elevation of the religion and for the Survival of Sharia of Mohammad (PBUH & HHP), mourning assemblies in connection with Ashra e Muharram continued for the seventh day in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and its suburbs. To honour the great sacrifice made by the bridegroom of Karbala - Hazrat Qasim Ibn Hassan - processions of Mehndi e Shehzada Qasim were carried out.

In Rawalpindi, the main procession of Mehndi was taken out from Naya Muhalla in which thousands of mourners participated and presented condolence by carrying out Zanjeer Zani, Matam Dari and Noha Khani.

At Jinnah reading room, while addressing to a mourning assembly, Allama Ijaz Hussain Mudaris said that Hazrat Qasim (PBUH) reminded everyone of the bravery of his father Imam Hassan (PBUH) while fighting against Yazid’s forces on the plains of Karbala. He said that Hazrat Qasim (PBUH) was that young martyr of Karbala whose corpse was mutilated so badly that, instead of his body, Imam Hussain (PBUH) could only bring his pieces to the camp, causing great lamentation amongst the Ahl E Haram. He said that the courageous determination of the bridegroom of Karbala Qasim Ibn Hassan (PBUH) is a great and practical example to follow for the youth of every era.

Jaloos E Mahndi at Choorr Harrpal was taken out from the residence of Syed Aqdas Kazmi. Thereafter, addressing to a mourning assembly at Darbar Sakhi Shah Payara, Allama Muhammad Kazmi Turabi said that Pakistan was established in the name of Laillah illallah and Hussain Ibn Ali (PBUH) protected this; but it is a source of great pain for Pakistanis that musical programs are still being televised on channels. Allama Matloob Hussain Taqi, Zakir Musa Khan Puri, Zakir Syed Saghir Hussain Kazmi and Syed Awn Abbas Kazmi also addressed the assembly.

While addressing at Takkya Sain Inayat Hussain Jaffri, Khateeb E Fatah Furat Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi said that Azadari is universal announcement of hatred against oppression and expressing of solidarity with the oppressed in which not only Muslims participate, but non-Muslims also commemorate the mourning of Imam Hussain Ibn Ali (PBUH). Moulana Waqar Hussain Naqvi, while addressing at Aza Khana Sheda Naqvi, said that ideological basis of Pakistan is Islam and the foundation of Islam rests upon the Haidery courage and the great sacrifice of Imam Hussain (PBUH).

Peer Asif Ghilani addressed to a mourning assembly at Qasr e Abu Talib Mughal Abad. On this occasion Syed Naseer Sabzwari said that mourners are performing the rituals of Azadari in a very peaceful manner throughout the country while following the code of Azadari presented by the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Al Moosavi.

 A mourning assembly in connection with the martyrdom anniversary of Shehzada Qasim (PBUH) was held at Imam Bargah Zain Ul Abideen (PBUH) which was addressed by a number of Ulema O Zakireen. Assembly was concluded at Matamdari. Moulana Ijlal Haider Haidery addressed at Imam Bargah Shadidan E Karbala. The Jaloos E Mehndi at Dhok Rata was taken out from the house of Pervaiz Hussain which was, after following its traditional route, concluded at Imam Bargah Kashmiriyaan. During Majalis e Aza resolutions were approved by the mourners in which the telecasting of musical programs was highly criticized and was declared a mockery against the sings attributed to Islam in a country which was earned in the name of Islam. In another resolution, the political activities by politicians and rulers during the days of Muharram were highly condemned and the Hadith of the Holy Prophet on the martyrdom of Imam Hussain was reiterated that the Holy Prophet Himself, put dust in his head and cried in the grief of Imam Hussain; yet in the country of the followers of the Prophet, rulers and politicians are busy in saving their political positions. The demonstration of this kind of immoral behavior is a serious matter of consideration for the whole nation.
