The birth anniversary of Imam Hassan e Mujtaba (pbuh) was celebrated as International Peace Day 

To overcome terrorism on an international level, lovers of humanity will have to work with peace and harmony; the grandson of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) taught humanity a practical lesson, to live in peace, which is a key to success in this world and hereafter – Address of the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya to a gathering

RAWALPINDI, August 17: As announced by the Quaid e Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, the birth anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hassan (pbuh) was observed with religious enthusiasm, spirit and devotion as International Peace Day throughout the country on Tuesday. On this occasion the day began with a recitation of the Holy Quran at Sehr in towns and cities throughout the country. Ulema, Waezeen and Zakreen addressing the Mahafil-e-Milad, conferences, seminars and other festive gatherings highlighted the pious character of Imam Hassan (pbuh) in great detail.  

The Quaid e Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, delivering his special address at the main function organized at the headquarters of the Maktab e Tasheyo, said that humanity in general, and Pakistan in particular, was confronted with many problems - oppression, brutality and suppression - and there was a need to follow peace instead of brutality and extremism to confront these problems. He said the objective of sending prophets and messengers was to promote justice and fair-play; they themselves faced oppression, brutality and suppression and showed that humankind can live in peace and remain successful in this world and the world hereafter by subservience to the Creator and serving His creations by avoiding discrimination and adopting a balanced life. 

Agha Moosavi said there is a saying of the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) that goes: Almighty Allah chose Friday from days, Ramzan from months, Shab-e-Qadr from nights, messengers from human beings, prophets from messengers, myself from prophets, and Ali (pbuh) from myself, and Hassan (pbuh), Hussain (pbuh) from Ali (pbuh) and nine personalities from Hussain (pbuh). These personalities kept on protecting the ignorant from ignorance and the religion of Islam from the discrimination of the ignorant. He said as the Ulil-Amr/ Imam is the protector and defender of the religion and Sharia, chastity is a must for him. When Hazrat Ibrahim (pbuh) was awarded the post of Imamat, he desired this post for his Zuriyyat (coming generation). He was told that this post would not reach any oppressor. This reply indicates that Imam / Ulil-Amr will be free from any mistakes and only then can he protect the religion and Sharia. 

The TNFJ chief said that the kuniyyat of Shahzada Sulah-o-Aman Hazrat Imam Hassan (pbuh) is Abu Muhammad and renowned title is Mujtaba. He was born on 15th of Ramzan-ul-Mubarik, 3 Hijrah and according to some in 2 Hijrah. There is no example of the kind of love in the universe that the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) had for him and vice-versa. There is a saying of the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp): Hassan (pbuh) and Hussain (pbuh) are my grandsons and are offspring of my daughter. Allah, You know that I love them, You too love them. In another tradition says: I love whoever loves Hassan (pbuh) and Hussain (pbuh), and who loves me, Allah also likes him and one who is loved by Almighty Allah will be sent to the heaven, and one who kept enmity with Hassan (pbuh) and Hussain (pbuh) is my enemy and my enemy is the enemy of Allah and the last place for the enemy of Allah is hell. He also said, Hassan (pbuh) and Hussain (pbuh) are the leaders of the young of heavens. After the departure of the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp), Hazrat Imam Hassan (pbuh) remained helpful to his father Ali (pbuh) in all matters. 

Agha Moosavi said that after Amir al Momnin Hazrat Ali Ibn e Abi Talib (pbuh) Imam Hassan entered Masjid e Kofa accompanied by his bothers; he delivered such an eloquent address that all present were astonished. Abdullah Ibn e Abbas while standing near to the pulpit praised Almighty Allah, the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp) and Hazrat Ali (pbuh) and sent salwat on the Holy family of the Holy Prophet (pbut) and said O People! Imam Hassan (pbuh) is the grandson of the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp), successor of Ali (pbuh), come forward and offer your allegiance to him. People replied He is our master and our Imam we recognized his status and his rights are obligatory upon us. Imam Hassan put one condition on those who wanted to pay allegiance to him that was they will fight whoever he fight and will offer peace to whoever he offers peace. All accepted Imam’s conditions happily and paid their allegiance to him in their masses.

The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that on the occasion of birth anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hassan Mujtaba (pbuh), we pay greetings to the Holy Prophet (pbuh & hhp), his holy Progeny (pbuh), followers of spirituality and defenders of humanity and announce our commitment that we will continue our practical struggle towards promotion of peace and tranquility, continue to condemn oppression and brutality, and support the oppressed till the Zahoor of Imam-e-Zamana (pbuh).
