Today the Birth Anniversary of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (PBUH) will be celebrated as International Peace Day

Government should make special security arrangements; media should provide full coverage to the programs - Bin Mosa Kazmi

RAWALPINDI, August 16: As announced by the Quaid e Millat e Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosvi the birth anniversary of the grandson of the Holy Prophet Imam Hassan e Mujtaba (pbuh) will be celebrated on 15th of Ramadan as International Peace Day.  A meeting of International Peace Day Committee was held in which conveners from all over Pakistan including Federal area, AJK & Gilgit Baltistan participated.

The meeting was chaired by the Convener of the committee Bin Mosa Kazmi. While addressing the meeting Bin Mosa Kazmi said that the great personality of the family of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and second bearer of seal of Imamat Imam Hassan (pbuh) made it clear to the world with his character that Islam is the religion of peace. The Imam always preferred peace to blood shedding and condemned all types of oppression and cruelty.

Bin Mosa Kazmi appealed to all schools of thought to participate in the programs of International Peace Day and show their dislike to all types of oppression, terrorism and terrorist groups and to express their unanimity with oppressed world.

In the meeting a resolution was adopted in which it was demanded from the government to ensure law & order during Aalmi Youm e Aman, telling people to be vigilant and to keep an eye out for trouble makers.

In the resolution great concern and condemnation was expressed over the suicide attacks, bomb blasts and target killings. It was demanded from the government to form a high level tribunal for interrogating incidents of terrorism including the incidents of Quetta, and Karachi and that those responsible should be brought to justice.  The resolution asked for the government to take notice of the activities of banned groups and to enforce the Anti-Terrorism Act in order to control terrorism.
