RAWALPINDI, September 13: The Farzandan-e-Tauheed performed thanksgiving in Eidul Fitr congregations in Rawalpindi and surrounding areas like other cities of the country. In Rawalpindi, the main Eidul Fitr congregation of Fiqh-e-Jafariya was held at the hall of Municipal Boys High Schools Satellite Town where Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi’s representative, Allama Syed Waqar Qummi led the Eid prayers. Delivering Eidul Fitr Khutba, he said real Eid is that everyone keeps his inner soul clear, avoids sins and keeps away from evil things. Allama Shaikh Ijaz Hussain Madras addressing the gathering on the philosophy of Eid, quoted a saying of the Maula-e-Kainaat Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) that goes: Eidul Fitr is for a person whose fasts have been accepted by Allah and He saw his Qayam-o-Qaood with respect. He said every day in which Allah’s commandments are not negated is the day of Eid.

Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central Spokesman of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan presented a resolution that was unanimously adopted by the participants. The resolution strongly condemned the desecration attempts on Islam, Paighambar-e-Islam (SAAW), Mashaheer of religion and Shariat, and Quran. It said that the whole Muslim Ummah by condemning the 9/11 without any discrimination had made it clear that Islam is against all types of aggression and considers it terrorism and oppression but the international colonial powers were utilizing all its resources against the Islamic World in the garb of 9/11. The resolution said that had Muslim Ummah fixed Rushdie then no one would had the courage to raze Babri Masjid, imposed Zionist control, and the so-called American priest would not have announced to put copies of Holy Quran on fire. The resolution demanded from the international organisations to fulfill their responsibility to stop such elements that were out to desecrate Islam, Paighambar-e-Islam (SAAW), Mashaheer-e-Islam, holy Books, and world religions.

Another resolution expressed grave concern over various problems, flood ravages, and terrorism and made fervent appeal to the rulers to avoid creating new problems. The resolution strongly condemning the announcement of Federal Interior Minister for carrying out Swat-like operation in Balochistan and termed it a heinous conspiracy against the country and the nation. Expressing grief and rage against Gamey Shah and Bhati Gate blasts in Lahore on the occasion of Shadat of Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) and Mizan Chowk Quetta suicide blasts resulting in dozens of Shahadats and injuries to more than a hundred, the resolution demanded from the government to arrest the culprits of these incidents forthwith and give them exemplary punishment. The resolution appealed the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of these incidents immediately and set up a Tribunal comprising high court judges to probe all incidents of terrorism since 1977.

The resolution termed the statement of Federal Interior Minister to limit religious processions in the garb of terrorism and said that the said Minister is speaking the language of banned organisations. If his stance is accepted for a while, then all important places and institutions should be closed as these are also on the target of the terrorists. The participants strongly supported the courageous stand taken by the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi for not accepting any restriction on religious processions. Another resolution said that Sunnis and Shias are brethren and strong arms of Islam but a particular Maslik is dominating some important State institutions that has created sense of deprivation amongst people belonging to other Masalik. Therefore, the resolution suggested that the leadership of important institutions like Islamic Council of Ideology, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Federal Shariat Court should be given to Hanafi and Jafri Fiqhs in phases and their representatives should be taken from representative organisations of the recognized Makatib so as to promote unity and brotherhood and to avoid conflicts and differences on important occasions like Eidul Fitr.
