RAWALPINDI, November 20: Eidul Azha congregations were held at Eidgahs, Jamia Masajid, Imambargahs and open spaces in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad like the whole country. Ulema, Khutaba and Waizeen highlighted the Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi and philosophy of sacrifice and stressed the need of practically promoting the spirit of sacrifice, brotherhood and tolerance so as to resolve the problems confronted by humanity. Prays were also offered for the Islamic World in general, and for oppressed people of Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq and Afghanistan in particular. The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi’s representative Mufti Syed Basim Abbas Zahiri led the Eid prayers and delivered the Khutba Eidul Azha while Saqatul Islam Allama Ijaz Hussain Madras in his addressed highlighted the philosophy of sacrifice.

            Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central Secretary Information of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan presented a resolution on the occasion that was unanimously approved by the congregation. The resolution while strongly condemning the continued incidents of terrorism said the terrorism that began in Zia era was touching its heights today and whenever the enemy desires, she gives a bloodbath to any city. Target killings is on its height, particularly in Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar where not a single day passes without an incident while the government seems to be helpless in stopping the incidents of terrorism. Despite passage of three months, the culprits of incidents that took place at Darbar Abdullah Ghazi, Karbala Gamey Shah, Al-Quds rally Quetta could not be arrested and if the rulers are unable to provide protection to the people then they should give up power. Expressing concern over the protection being provided to terrorists by some elements in the provincial and federal government, the resolution demanded that people should not be left at the mercy of terrorists just for the sake of political gains.

            The resolution expressed astonishment that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry takes notice of even simple matters but it seems that he is not aware of terrorism going on in the country. If Justice Sajjad Ali Shah can take suo moto notice of terrorism then why can’t Iftikhar Chaudhry do? The resolution demanded from the government to implement the Peace Formula earlier presented by Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi and implement the Anti-Terrorist law strictly so as to root out terrorism completely. Besides, families affected by terrorism should be given compensation, all culprits of Pakpattan, Karbala Gamey Shah, Data Darbar, Shah Abdullah Ghazi incidents should be arrested forthwith and the banned groups should be stopped from working with new names. The people were called upon to remain alert while Mukhtar Force should be organised at every level for the protection of Sha’air Allah, Milad-un-Nabi and Azadari processions.

            The resolution strongly condemned the west for making fun of Islami Sha’air, and desecrating the Rasool (SAAW) and Quran and made it clear on the Islamic States that Muslim States would not be able to demand dignity of Sha’air Allah unless they themselves give respect to the same. The resolution lamented that great Sha’air Allah of the Islamic World like Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moallah have become the symbol of Hasrat-o-Yaas for the last 85 years but none of the Muslim State was giving an ear to these facts. Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh Jafariya has the honour to raise this issue on universal level for the dignity of these Sha’air but the biggest newspaper and Jang Media Group and Geo totally ignored the protest launched throughout the country. The media that springs up breaking news on minor happenings, kept a quiet on protest staged for restoration of shrines of Rasool (SAAW), Aal-e-Rasool (A.S.) and pious Ashab poses a big question mark. Those who are afraid of the government are not afraid of Rasool’s (SAAW) rage. On the other hand, the same group was talking about giving up frontiers with Pakistan’s perpetual enemy India and are sabotaging Kashmir issue and committing treachery with those who are sacrificing their life for its independence.

            Expressing concern on increasing India-America friendship, the resolution demanded from the government to make friendship with traditional friend China and Islamic States instead of begging from America because as per a saying of the Maula Ali (A.S.) enemy of the enemy is a friend and friend of the enemy is the enemy. Obama’s Indian tour has made her choice of friendship with India clear. Pakistani rulers should not be optimistic after U.S. support to India’s permanent membership of the Security Council and should get rid of America as soon as possible and lay down its foreign and internal policies afresh. The resolution said that Pakistan would not have become a centre of so many problems had our rulers and leaders not sat in American lap.

            The resolution said that according to Pakistan Constitution, there is no binding of any particular school of thought to become President, Prime Minister, Chairman Senate, and Speaker National Assembly but people belonging to a particular school of thought were still sitting in important religious organisations including Ministry of Religious Affairs, Council of Islamic Ideology, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, and Mutahidda Ulema Board that is contrary to the Constitution. The resolution demanded from the government to the leadership of all these organisations to all recognised schools of thought in phases to fulfil the norms of justice and fair-play. The resolution made it clear that only those persons will be considered representatives of Makatib in these organisations who are nominated by the representative organisations of the relevant Makatib as those puppets who toe the line of the rulers in decisions of national interest could not be called representatives of the nation.

            The congregation expressed solidarity with the freedom fighters of Kashmir and Palestine and demanded immediate exodus of American forces from Kashmir and Afghanistan. The resolution expressed complete solidarity with the Pakistan’s armed forces that are busy in operation against terrorism and made it clear that they will follow any line of action given by Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi for protection of Azadari and achievement of national rights viz. oncoming Ayyam-e-Aza.
