RAWALPINDI, May 23: Mukhtar Students Organisation, Rawalpindi City organized a strong protest demonstration against desecration of Nawasa-e-Rasool Imam Hussain (A.S.) committed by Gujranwala Board of Intermediate in its examination paper and demanded from the government to give exemplary punishment to the culprits rather shunt out the responsible persons of the relevant Board so that no one may have the courage to commit such desecration in future again.

Syed Baqar Hussain Naqvi, Central President of the MSO addressing the protest rally said that the desecration of Nawasa-e-Rasool Syed-us-Shuhada Imam Hussain Ibne Ali (A.S.) in an examination paper of the Gujranwala Board on May 19, 2010 has sent a wave of anger and unrest in the Islamiyan-e-Pakistan. He said at a time when the anti-Islam forces were shattering the conscious of Islamiyan-e-Alam by committing blasphemy, this act of Gujranwala Board is tantamount to strengthen the foreign Rushdies. He said desecration of Nawasa Syed-us-Shuhada (A.S.) soon after desecration of Nana Rasool-e-Khuda (SAAW) is a part of well-hatched conspiracy because the examination papers take a final shape after passing through various phases.

Syed Jone Ali Shah Mashadi, Central Secretary General of MSO, addressing the demonstrators said that humiliation of Syed-us-Shuhada (A.S.) is the humiliation of Khatmi Martabat (SAAW) because there is a saying of the Rasool (SAAW) that goes: “Hussain is from me, and me from Hussain”. He lamented that during the previous eras, host of disreputable material has been included in the curricula, particularly that of colleges and universities and purpose of which is to give wind to biases. Therefore, he added, a high level Commission should be set up to scrutinize these books so as to drive out the disreputable and misleading material from the curriculum books and save the young generation from being misled and prepare them to serve the country and the nation putting them on a constructive track.

Yassir Bangash, District General Secretary MSO, Mardan Ali, Ali Mehdi, and Syed Muhammad Kazmi also addressed the demonstrators.
